All of of my profile pics are pictures of toys...I try to capture them  where the viewer can see all of the blood, hair, poop and other crud still still encrusted on these items....It's breathtaking.

Wanna play?

G'afternoon all:

Now seriously BM and GG, if I wanted to look at porn, I would. I'm not browsing the photos to be titallated. BM, I find it somewhat foolish of you to assume you know what I seek on this site by this post.

This isn't a "get me off" site, but rather a dating site where people wish to show the full range of their personality. Just because you're here looking to be immersed in fetish doesn't mean the rest of the site is one dimensional. Many here are looking for relationships with a whole, multifaceted person, not just play time and fetish.
You're assuming that because I'm browsing photos that I'm seeking play time or arousal through ogling pictures. Not nice to judge people you don't know. I do how ever enjoy seeing other people within the lifestyle actually practicing their craft.  I believe you missed this section of my OP.

Yes, I move on and click "Next" if I don't see something that appeals to me. Just venting.
As to viewing pets? It's nice to know there's more to an individual than just their fetishes. This really isn't the place for animals though when you think about it.

As to other posters' replies on remaining anonymous? Kind of silly. If someone finds you here and tries to out you, they're in just as much of a pickle, lol. Regarding pictures as displaying your personality? I tend to disagree. I find out more about a person in their writings than their pictures. Their interactions in an email, a forum, instant messages, etc.

I have to give a hearty cheer to Puella and DT. Mom taught me to put my best foot forward, in all situations. Nice to find others that echo that.

*raspberries to LGF* Smarty pants!

Stay safe, play nice, & share your toys w/ others...

Some people work with children and lord knows they go places they should not. Or there are professions which could have a morality clause which someone could manipulate. There are some good reasons to not have pics up on public forums.

To me, people's pics show me things about who they are. It's just one way to express yourself online. So, no, it doesn't bother me at all. If i don't like a picture, i just move on to the next one.

I agree, people's pics show you who they are.  We all have the choice to post a picture,
of whatever we want to, or not post a picture.
I never thought it was that big a deal.

The funny thing is...I could pull 20 profiles off the top of my head with woman showing full frontal nudity and yet. I always hear CM  blocks those pictures???

What gives?

Why not? This is a site where people meet dating partners...part of dating and having a relationship is having compatible feelings about pets. Unless you're some kind of sick animal pervo, I see no reason why I shouldn't show pics of me riding my horse. It allows a person to see one of my prominent interests at a quick glance.

Why not show your dog, your cat, or heck your even your car or your motorcycle if that's something that it's important to you?

Hehe... as long as we are ranting about pics... I am torn between horror, disgust and amusement when people put pictures up to represent  and/or sell themselves and the room they are in is a total trashy heap of a mess... good lord people, pick up your dirty laundry and beer cans and empy the cigarette butts out of the overflowing ash tray beside you...

I laughed reading this.... it's the same on the vanilla side!  Just do a search in the online personals and you will find many pics of messy rooms, laundry in the background, and webcam headshots taken with the wrong color temperature, so people are green or blue.

I also far prefer to see a photo of the person, and not one particular feature of their body! That being said, I do understand why a lot of people are reluctant to risk putting a picture of themselves online. A lot of people are in jobs where if there kink were to come out, it would not be good for them. Other people are just nervous about showing themselves on a public forum.

When I contact somebody with no picture, one of the first things I ask for is to send me one privately. As long as they are willing to do that, I have no issue with their not having one on the site.

Namaste, Sir Dominic

Rightly so! also it is a security matter as it is in my case (diplomats, police, correction officers for example). I don't care what my employers would think but I care about safety. If you want my picture or for that matter naked pictures of my sub in gaga land sure! But you got to tell me why first. RL.

Maybe living in a crap-hole is how some people try to attract a submissive to clean it.

Sinergy

p.s. On a personal note, I have been to play parties in houses where I was afraid I would stick to something if I sat down on it.  I was shocked that people could actually live in such a dump.

p.p.s.  Eww.

p.p.p.s.  I am not anal retentive, but I like the place clean.  Since I work so much, I have somebody come in every couple of weeks to do the heavy cleaning.  The rest of the time I keep it clean.  I dont think it is rocket science.

Keeping a place clean can be harder than you think...I keep mine cleaned up but with 8 dogs and 3 cats, you can bet that even when I clean every day and sweep/mop twice per day, the place is still pretty dirty! And let me get busy and skip a day...omg, it looks like a dump. I can have the place spotless at 4pm and by 5pm it looks like I never touched it!

Add to that the fact that I have four 4wk old kittens who haven't quite figured out the idea of the litterbox yet....um, yeah, you get the picture. It's a never-ending battle!

(probably how people with numerous UMS feel as well)

I have kept my place clean, GeekyGirl, so how I know what is involved.

At the moment I work two jobs and am never home, so the cleaning I have done is cleaning toilets, changing sheets, etc.

This is every two weeks.  The rest of the time I spend a great deal of my life keeping my place clean.

I adore seeing photos of people's pets when I view their album. It lets me know I'm viewing someone who sees BDSM as a part of their whole life, rather than as a corner. I also love seeing their toys (as well as sharing photos of my own.) This isn't a "get me off" site, but rather a dating site where people wish to show the full range of their personality. Just because you're here looking to be immersed in fetish doesn't mean the rest of the site is one dimensional. Many here are looking for relationships with a whole, multifaceted person, not just play time and fetish.

I suggest you invest in a membership at a site just meant to titillate you. Sure, you're going to pay for it.. but as you don't like seeing the dreck the rest of us post on the free site, it may be a viable alternative.

I agree with you completely

Except when I am there and then somehow wine ends up on the carpet and coffee grounds end up on your bedroom floor... I am such a bad bad girl

Yes, but unless you've done animal rescue and had 2-4 unhousebroken animals at any given time, you can't really understand how hard it can be to keep stuff clean. It makes housework take on a whole new meaning.

Good thing I have rescued animals and had 2-4 unhousetrained animals in the household.

As well as raised UMs.

Thanks for asking.

Then you're doing better than me...care to share any tips? I have tried everything and I simply canNOT get this place smellling right. It LOOKS ok. Smells horrid.

I've tried baking soda, bleach, vinnegar, enzyme removers, you name it.

Get rid of your carpets and drapes and repaint the place.

Get rid of old furniture.

Teach the animals to stay off the furniture.

Spend the time necessary at home (this one is a bitch) to fully house train the animal.  Or it stays outside.

More importantly, when you have object A (cups, keys, wallet, etc) determine a place for this to be and train yourself to always return it to the place.

Make rules and stick by them like

a)  All dishes cleaned and put away before bedtime.

b)  Bed made in the morning.

c)  Clean up messes right when you do them.

You may have difficulty teaching your UMs this.  I took the approach that any of their crap in my part of the house (i.e. not their room) was put away before they went to bed or it would disappear.  Saved money on Christmas and Birthday presents.

It is not easy.  It is actually a complete pain in the ass.  But the trade off is the house is clean.

Which is how I wanted to live.  It is like painting a room.  The more time and effort you put in to the prep work, the quicker and better the finished job turns out.
