What is going on in their head to send a photo of their genitals to someone who didn't ask for it?

Is it a desire to shock - like the 'flasher' of yesteryear? Is it simply deficient social communication skills? Is it pure egomania?

I just don't get it.

I don't get it either Chris.
I've always thought it was a desire to shock or egomania or a mix of both.
I imagine that when it's a nice sized one, I usually believe it's attached to a bonehead who hasn't much in personality or social skills department. What baffles me beyond belief are photos of cocks which are clearly inferior in terms of size (<5" and appearance, limp, lol).

Looking forward to replies from men; maybe even the cock photo senders. M

Humorous Answer: They want to disclose their shortcomings and get that part of their "personality" out front.

Serious Answer: Psychologically, knowing that their "shortcoming" has been viewed is enough for some to "get off". Think of it as a cyber version of exposing himself. In lieu of a raincoat they have a profile on CollarMe. Most flashers only need the fact that they "flashed" to excite them. It's likely the same process is occurring with the photos.

I mean, what do women do when they are posting pictures and are in hopes of finding a partner? They put out something that they thing will attract the kind of person they are looking for. Men do the same thing.
