I still have an old windup mechanical clown that has a twirling cane and his knees go up and down!  You have to hold his shoes down so he doesn't tip over, LOL

we use to have these headbands that had little alien looking eyes attached to them so when you walked the eyes would move...didn't take much to impress us back then

Toys I liked best:
etch-a-sketch
the skip toy (I can't remember it's proper name either)
pogo stick
marbles - trading, barginning, playing (yep, I was a tom boy ... lol )

OMG pogo sticks! My brother had one and I wanted one sooo bad..so I snuck his, think I maybe jumped twice on it and ended up with 2 stitches in my lip and a big bruise on my chin..hated the things ever since

I still love my Mister Potato Head
Master cracked me up recently when W/we were talking about the toys W/we had as kids.  The "Mr. Potato Head" He had didn't come with a plastic potato.  You just got the pieces and had to provide your own real potato!  That struck me as so funny.....luci

The Barbie Vanity set with the makeup too. I was heart broken when I realized I couldn't really cut her hair and have it grow back like people's hair does.

My mom bought me some of those yucky barbie dolls (Ive always disliked dolls) and my Father and I made a guillotine as a fun Father/Daughter project. Barbie made a lovely Marie Antoinette
