Yeah, seriously. I have already spent as much time as I care to trying to decide if Paul is someone I could support. Answer: no.

A nice, pithy abbreviated version would be most welcome. Maybe it's an interesting idea we could discuss, but I am not going to spend close to an hour getting some kind of hiccuping history lesson to find out what that idea might be.

... and when the tl;dr (too long;didn't read) attitude prevails such as this, is it any wonder why the system is so broken? If it can't be put into pithy soundbites, it's not worth listening to? This attitude, quite blunty, makes me ill to the marrow. People need to get off their lazy mental asses and occasionally *gasp* put some effort into understanding things.

But this is not a case of Too long didn't read.  Its a video.  Aproximatley the 2000th hour of video posted by the thread starter, honestly if you watch all of them how could you have time to eat or shower, much less build a cold fusion generator.  If it was text people could skim it and get the idea, but text is easy to quote back, and doesnt come with spooky music and lighting to make points.

Anyone who takes RP seriously has such a  warped view of the world, I would imagine they are quite mad/angry

Watching a video instead of reading is mentally lazy, and does very little for understanding things

So if you support RP you are angry ? OK.

What you call anger might more well be termed recognizing an enemy. If you are even talking about political shit on here you are not likely to be happy with the status quo.

You may say I am angry because I have a great disdain for the powers that be. But I do not let that develop into anger, and you do not know if my words are born fron anger or the expression of the dire need for change.

I do not like that speech. It was poorly delivered, and I think it could've been written alot better. What he said in forty nine minutes I could have said in twenty. Don't get me wrong, if Paul ever has a snowball's chance in hell to get to the Whitehouse, the army will have to change "serch and clear" back to "seek and destroy".  I would do ALOT to see this Man become President. And be aware that I am aware of the problems. There will be problems. But his respect for the Constitution is inviolate, perhaps we need to find ours.

HEY, perhaps it is time for a President who isn't a good public speaker or speechwriter, or ACTOR. Maybe we need to look for more important qualities, LIKE FUCKING HONOR.

Fuck abortion, go back to the coat hangers, this is the only person in the world with a fucking prayer of fixing our foreign relations. But to have him also means the temporary ruination of the dollar. But this war shit has to be gone. I think Ron Paul is against war for everybody. See George Bush is against war for himself and his family, he seems to be for it for everyone else. Pushbutton heroes.

I have read the Constitiution and I am sure "the gentleman from Texas" has as well. People who pervert the Constitution by saying that words have different definitions now should be summarily shot at sunrise. But there are others just as dangerous. The radicals. I like some radicals, but they go on the other side, and they seem to think that the Constitution guarantees them anarchy. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Sometimes rtight is not easy.

Actually, I've started at least one thread about Ron Paul's essays. Please see:

"Why I won't vote for Ron Paul"
http://www.collarchat.com/fb.asp?m=1271518

I'm still not voting for him and I'm still not going to waste one more hour watching him blather on about I don't know what. Why should I?

A hint about his ultimate point might be nice. Otherwise, fuck it.
