Actually I skipped the rest of the sentence.. but I can admit it when I do stuff like that

That reporter got so shot down for voicing her distaste in the desireablity of the Fuhrer, it is not even funny. I thought I they might lynch her... and this is going to be spun as some sort of bias against Bush.. puhleazzzzzz

Further, the media gave Monkey in the Middle years before they began to be critical of him at all... 9-11 gave him a blank check literally and figuratively for about 4 years if not 5

Well, that's fine for you to say because you are clearly partisan, and there is nothing wrong with that. I am too.

I suppose that depends on what you mean by "partisan."  How about you share your definition of the word before I agree or disagree with your statement?

quote:

But the point is, I don't want my news "spun" by someone who is clearly partisan either way - my way or yours.

I'm not sure what you think "my way" is, but if you're watching network television to get your news and expecting something that isn't spun, you had best get used to being disappointed.

I was gonna add some input as to what the reporter said was stupid, but I'm too busy kicking Jews and dead soldiers.

I think the stations name is PMSNBC. It really doesn't matter though, their ratings are very low. Nobody watches anyway..

I think that was directed at me, Sanity.  I dared to use a couple of rough examples of groups who have put their hate above any conception of right or wrong... In the name of improving the world and legitimate protest.

I am embracing my inner child these days as a part of my growth as Daddy's submissive... being juvenile is so much fun!

I embrace my inner child sometimes... on my first day of school ever, my very first day, there was a red-headed girl who sat in front of me, named Julie. I said "hi" to her, but she ignored me. And so I said, you had better talk to me or I'm going to put glue in your hair, and I showed her my big, brand new bottle of Elmer's.

I was just teasing her, but she continued to ignore me, and so I thought I'd get her attention by holding the bottle of glue over her red hair... and she still ignored me. Well, nobody ignores my inner child! So I opened the top a little. Just a little, and I told her so. "I'm opening it up now, and holding it over your head!"

Still she ignored me. "What the..." I thought. "No way..."

And so I squeezed, just a little - while holding the big bottle of glue over her bright, shiny, freshly washed red hair. But the glue wouldn't come out!

"Damn!"

By this time, I was on a mission. This girl was getting glued... and so I opened it a little more, and squeezed again.

Still, no glue.

I opened it all the way, and squeezed. No glue!

I squeezed harder, no glue. HARDER - no glue. Soon I was squeezing that bottle of Elmers with all I had, both arms straining, my eyes closed, and not one drop of glue was coming out until SPLOOSH, the whole top flew off and the entire bottle of glue (to my horror and hers) was not just in her hair, but it was also coming down her face and getting all over her new clothes.

True story. Julie began crying, the teacher saw her about then, Julie pointed at me and screamed and I tried to explain... the glue wouldn't come out, I only wanted one drop... but that teacher didn't understand my inner child at all.

I just wanted a little attention... but there I was in the corner, peeking out of the corner of my eye as the teacher tried to dry the tears and sop up all that glue with a box of kleenexes.

I still like redheads, and they seem to like me a little better these days - and I still keep a little glue handy too.

I've never had any trouble embracing my inner child.

What would really thrill me, though, would be finding an inner adult!

I have told my inner adult that when my UM turns 18 that she can go fuck herself, she did not like that too well

Define a partisan? Someone who picks the side they think is right and defends or supports it, as in your "Calling Bush a monkey is cruel to monkeys" statement.

There's nothing wrong with that, unless you're incapable of seeing your own partisanship and you're supposed to be completely unbiased while doing a certain job like reporting the news or moderating a presidential debate, something like that. Or you're not willing to think and possibly joke around a little bit, and look for the humor in things.

I understand that the network news is spun, sure. But since I constantly hear about the "Faux News" channel from certain Left-leaning members here, and often hear many of the same ones claim that that there is no media bias, when something like this happens it's good to point it out - there is bias, and there is spin just like you said.

"You should have given me the job of White House Correspondent, Mr. President, I have nothing but contempt for these people."  Stephen Colbert.

"But, listen, lets review the rules.  Here's how it works:  The President makes decisions.  He's the Decider.  The press secretary announces those decisions and you people of the press type those decisions down.  Make, announce, type.  Just put them through spellcheck and go home.  Get to know your family again.  Make love to your wife.  Write that novel you got kicking around in your head.  You know-- the one about the intrepid Washington reporter with the courage to stand up to the administration.  You know--fiction."  Stephen Colbert.

To me, this sort of thing, while amusing, is simply the flip side of the coin.  People focussing on trying as hard as they can to pretend the Emperor is wearing clothing.  People are dying in Iraq for Halliburton profits, banished to hell by AnencephalyBoy, Shotgun, and Herr Rumsfeld, and people are complaining because a reporter referred to our President as "Not the monkey in the middle."

It must be nice to not have a sense of perspective about extant reality.

Sinergy

The only difference is about 100 IQ points... I do not like Hillary and will never ever vote for her, but I gotta give kudos where they are deserved. She at least has some gray matter between her ears..Monkey in the Middle is a little light on that

i've been commenting on Bush having an eerie resemblance to a chimpanzee for years.

maybe not the smartest thing for the reporter to say...but it sure is funny!
