Okay...everyone is putting their romantic prose up for inspection...I'll now add my own: "It was a strange afternoon. The stars were out like never before because the sun had imploded barely 7 hours earlier. An excoriating solar wind from the implosion scorched almost everyone on Earth as if it were only a freindly summer afternoon, with the sole exception that is was actually a stultifying 4,700 degrees warmer this afternoon. Most of the known artifacts of the human race...buildings, cars, 3 of my 4 cats, almost all the Republicans...and of course, my ex wife, had been melted by 10:15 or so this morning when the first blast arrived. I, of course had read about the possibility of the implosion in People magazine back in March and prepared for it by wearing my tinfoil hat everywhere I went and of course putting little strings with chrystaline Christmas ornaments hanging from them throughout my house (as I'm sure most of you reading this now proves you did as well to warn you of the smaller energy bots that had been circling many major radio station antennae that are always the precursor of a pending implosion of the sun). What was so incredible now (now that all the people I once knew had been vaporized) was that so many people were still walking around, burnt to a crisp, but some indeed were still in fact walking around (okay, crawling painfully, leaving trails behind them, barely able to breathe, begging for someone to shoot them "PUHLEEEAAASSEEEEE!!!!!!" would probably be slightly more accurate)....and suddenly, I found the Domme of my dreams, barely hanging on, largely a walking corpse, eyes falling out of her sockets...but she was the one I'd always wanted...and indeed, here I was...exactly as she'd once stated..."the last sub on Earth". Well, she had stated it a little more starkly....it was something along the lines of "I wouldn't go out with you if you were the last sub on Earth"...I think a lot of people thought she was being derisive...cruel even....but I knew it was just her way of saying "you make me vomit...I wouldn't consider you even if you paid me"... Of course, considering now that all human life as we knew it was in short order to be vanquished, I realized at once that her loving comments about cash were no longer valid...who needed money in a world like ours? Money meant nothing now. And we were finally in love. I ran over to give her a hug, to tell her how much I'd always loved her and as I did.... Her arms fell off. It was kinda gross actually....pissed me off, as one might imagine. And I remember thinking...'who the fuck would want to go out with a chic with no fucking arms?', so I dumped her then and there and told her to go find her own damn ride home. And then it started to snow". (Pretty romantic eh? In a world destructing, flesh melting, history stopping kind of way).
