Status: offline 		My Master likes the idea of puppyplay, like where i act like his puppy and i like this idea it appeals to me in a large way my Master got the idea off of www.petgirls.com. I would like it some of you would share your thoughts on this I hope you dont think i'm wierd.

Status: offline 		Andie - you say weird like it's a bad thing! Puppy play can be a lot of fun. Master and i have played this way on occasion and it can be a great thing. Opinions from others aren't really important, however. If both of you enjoy this form of play, enjoy yourselves and forget what anyone else thinks!

Status: offline 		It's not weird at all, at least not to me. For whatever reason, being treated and kept as a "puppy" (or whatever other animal) is deeply emotionally satisfying. And as long as it's emotionally satisfying to you, what difference does it make?

Wierd? If that is so then there are many, many 'wierd' people around. Puppy play is not uncommon and, in fact, the International Puppy/Trainer contest is coming up in October in Dallas as part of the Beyond Vanilla event. http://www.intlpuppycontest.org

Personally, I want to explore pony play a bit more.

role play of any sort is a great relief from our "set" roles in life...whether it be a naughty school girl, a Deviant Nurse, Wicked Priest, or your favorite animal...its all the same on some levels...
whats great to me about puppy and kitty play is that it can go a lot deeper....where you get into a space much like subspace or little-space (for age players) and you're thoughts are no more than a puppy or kitty...its a total release from responsibility as a mom, an employee, a student, heck, a submissive...just remember to explain to your Dominant that you want or might go that deep into space so they can understand when you piddle on the rug cause they didn't understand your whimpers or barking or mews...*grins*

I dont find this weird at all either. One of my favorite fantasies is to be a puppy in training for obedience.

Status: offline 		i am house broken...but if you don't listen to my requests to go outside or whatever how am i to be blamed? if a bio-dog goes in the house after he's sat and whined and scratched at the back door for 15 min and its really gotta go and you're sitting right there, is it his fault? and if you think it is...we would have serious pet issues

I don't think it's weird at all. However, I also don't think petgirls.com is a very good place to learn about puppy play as it is practiced in most lifestyle communities. It looks like it's mostly pseudo-porn. Leatherdog.com is a much more informative site. In fact, if you click on the leatherdog banner on the main page, it will take you to a page with a pic that includes the puppy Fifi (with the pink hair), an individual with whom I have fairly recently become acquainted. She and her Trainer, Miss Simone, were the Great Lakes Puppy and Trainer for 2003-2004.

I've learned over the last few months that there is a lot that goes into being a convincing human puppy, or any other animal, for that matter (I also have a close friend who is a prize-winning show pony). It's definitely not for everyone, but it can be an extremely rewarding and liberating experience for the puppy.

Status: offline 		When I first heard of it, and honestly, the first time I tried it, puppy play was considered a form of humiliation. Walking on a leash, eating out of a doggie bowl, being caged. But a former Mistress and I tried it and it very quickly transformed itself and became one of the most genuinely affectionate, reaffirming things both of us ever did.

It can bring out in an Owner all sorts of otherwise hiddenor suppressed affectionate qualities, softness and utter joy. The joy of being a child and having a puppy. Look at any child or childless older person and see the unbounded love and affection for their pet. For a sub it allows you to express a playfulness, loyalty and trusting affection that would seem mawkish in a human. But as a puppy, both Owner and pet can give free rein to those emotions and experience and enjoy them to the fullest without embarrassment.

For a sub, because it is non verbal, it allows you a freedom of expression and physical communication I found very freeing. You emote with your body, with non language grunts, growls and sounds that are primally satisfying. For me it removed so manyinhibitions and boundaries I had as a human that I was fully able to express and enjoy myself in ways I never did before.

And I know my Mistress absolutely adored both the play and me as a puppy. She wanted to enroll me in one of the D/s Pet Play Competitions. In fact, even though I was no longer serving Her, She asked me to be Her puppy again at a DomSub Friends Demo She gave in the Spring.

The memory of it brings a fond smile to both of us.
