I am not really worried by the cyber blocking....for Me I just archive the messages...burn them to cd and then move on...now I have used the hide user feature which I like...sort of helps repeating a hello to someone I forgot that I had contacted before and they gently declined...otherwise it seems I am being overly persistant...which I can be ;)

I find that most that use the block out of rudeness would not dare to act that way face to face...it is the safety in distance scenereo...

Some are most afraid of what they do not understand ...then it is just a matter of perception...

Be real...be safe..be.

Block list.... yep... got a few on my e-mail side.. but about it. I don't block posters in forum... unless they take their flame throwers to my e-mail here on CM... and that's happened a few times in past 2 weeks...so my list got a little longer...lol

I have not blocked anyone. I have come close a couple times, but then I realized that it wasnt worth the effort.

I can uderstand thos who would never lock. I used to think liker that too. That was untill I found one female here was just annoying with her coments which often enough were not really relivent to the thread or would ask questions which I normally figured any adult could answer. however that is ok I just got tired of seeig her posts cropping up all over and blocking is the best way for me not to have to even skim past her posts. Similarly with  the guy I have blocked, I simply got tired of seeing every post he makes being negative and thus being what I see as attention seeking. I spent enough effort at one time trying to hold up his ego and self-esteme.. No more! Those who either can't or won't help themselves and want to wallow in their missery have no place in my readig feast. Frankly were it not for the block system, I'd be spending far less time in the forums than I do now or even quite CM permanantly... I value my time and don't need to be I a situation whereby I have to come accross such people's posts. Blocking is painless and doesn't stop them from expressing themselves out of my sight..... before any one decides to flame me.. Just understand that i have to spend too much time as it is during the day trying to help people who have low self-esteme and extreme negativity as well as too many who have problems in verbally placing more than three words together ad rarely make sence. helping them is what I do so I have no reason to want to deal with similar folk when I'm trying to relax and enjoy myself with some really great folk....

E&OA (I'm just too jolly exhausted to run word)

I've had it happen to me where someone will publicly let me know MULTIPLE times that they've blocked me.

"I block you!  Ha!  I block you again!  And again!  Take THAT!"

I can't understand blocking forum posters.  Someone can drive a person so batty that even scrolling by their post gets them upset??  Huh.

I have one person blocked and one alone.  After 26 emails ranting about Master and I (and she's never even talked to him)...well...clutter I tell ya, clutter.

The day I find it necessary to put anyone on a "block list" I'll toss my PC in the Pacific. It would mean I've lost my handle on reality. Being "hurt" or not laughing off someone's posted words or email is as silly to consider as cyber masters and slaves.

I agree, in principle...but I do have 2, maybe 3 names blocked on the other side. Simply because they sent me multiple emails with nothing but porn links, or sexual demands, and I don't see any reason to just sit there and put up with it.

As for blocking someone on the forums...I've considerd it once or twice, but in the end, I just don't really feel bothered enough to do so.

Each to his or her own lass. We all deal with irritations and pest like things differently. I block, you don't, no one is right and no one is wrong.....

Of course, IronBear.  Didn't mean to imply that I was "right," only that I didn't relate to it.

I don't block on the forums side, but on the email side, after the 4th or 5th time of telling the same person, "Thank you, but not interested" - I block them just so their emails don't clutter up my inbox.  Not that I can't delete them without reading them, but why waste CM's bandwidth?

I am not aware of being blocked by anyone. I have blocked one person on both sides and another one on the other side only. They are aware of being blocked by me.

I haven't used BLOCK.
It occurs to me, that there are a whole bunch of folks in the forums that I should put on my favorites list. But I keep that list for giving a tip of the hat to those I might like to..........um more than discuss things with.

I contact few folks in my search. To avoid wasting time both ways.

But there are a lot of folks here that are on my mental favorites list. Some are on my more Mmmmm yummy list, many on my mental discourse list.

None blocked yet. Written off list.....? A few maybe, but not totally.

Well I know I am blocked by one person on the email side, and it actually made me feel good when I found out. No I hadn't been a pest and had even stopped talking to them because of a mutal disagreement. However, I did think they would be worth contacting one more time to only find out I had been blocked. That showed me they were just as shallow as I had originally thought and not worth my effort.

I have not felt the need to block anyone myself, but I feel it is an option if I ever need it.
