And the one they are watching is the European model, because that has been particularly accurate, but let us quit equating climate and weather, now.

Nobody is "equating" climate and weather. The shortcomings of computer models apply in either application. What they are doing is curve-fitting, putting things in, taking things out, and playing with factor weighting to find the best fit. Anyone who thinks that kind of shit is "science" is cordially invited to purchase one of the many currency market models that promise an easy road to riches for the lucky few who buy before the price goes up.

Hey, you know all those computer-based models. . . Well, they are wrong.

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/09/30/massive_global_cooling_factor_discovered_ahead_of_paris_climate_talks/

In short, isoprene (a VOC involved in the formation of sunlight-reflecting (and therefore global *cooling*) clouds, is created by a previously unknown vector, and in significantly higher volume than previously suspected.

I wonder if sea water alkalinity may also play a role, although Ye Olde Register does not provide such details.

Sea water alkalinity would be affected by CO2 levels.

Bullcrap. There have been dozens of posts right here over the years saying something to the effect of "It snowed here today, so much for global warming"/

That somebody somewhere equated climate with weather is irrelevant to the fact that nobody is doing that here in this thread.

Sort of what Einstein said when confronted with Quantum mechanics, and then had to recant.

Yeah, no.

So if it wasn't said in this thread it wasn't said?[8|]

Clearly, isoprene is not a new phenomenon .. but it is not *understood* yet.

I mentioned one possible detail - relative acidity of ocean water - that may affect it .. temperature of ocean water may also play a role - does the rate of isoprene creation increase as acidity increases, or as temperature increases? We *DO NOT KNOW*.

I, therefore, understand Occam to scratch his head and say "dunno" .. that is, there *isn't enough data* to accurately guess at the simplest explanation, eh?
