More importantly, Trump made these pronouncements on tape, not at a press conference.
According to Fox's "the Five" this afternoon, that was a good thing because it eliminated all those pesky reporters asking their "biased" questions, such as, "How exactly are you going to pay for all these things, sir?"

Also no one on the panel seemed to see the irony in Trump not holding any press conferences since last July, something these same folks routinely excoriated Clinton for throughout the fall campaign.

I don't blame him for not dealing with the press. What does he have to gain from doing so?

The press ganged up on him because he wants to actually do something for the little guy and the press is connected at the hip to the gub.

ohaha care is a quantum failure and he will upset those collecting all that affordable extra money that everyone has laying around so lucy and her ilk can have healthcare on your nickel.

and an easy way to pay for it is to slow the imperialistic world take over.

This is my OP from the thread I started on the same topic.

Here's my reaction to them.

1. Withdraw from the TPP
I am all for this

2. Cancel "job killing" restrictions on coal and oil production
I guess it depends on what those restrictions are, but on the whole I don't think I like this one

3. Formulate a rule that two old regulations must be eliminated for every new regulation put in place.
Dumb idea

4. Direct Joint Chiefs to develop a comprehensive defence strategy, including cyber defence.
I sort of figured he'd have to do this one, seeing as he had no real plan going into this, though I am pleased with the emphasis on cyber security.

5. Investigate abuses of visa programs
Well duh, yeah they should be looked into, the visa programs are often used to import and exploit the fuck out of lower paid workers from overseas, so I am for investigating any abuses of those programs

6. 5 year ban on executive officials becoming lobbyists & lifetime ban on executive officials lobbying for foreign countries.
I am down with that one, it's a good first step.

So all in all, I am in favour of his plans (assuming this is the final version of them).

Dumb idea NOT!

Every so often I have little fireside chats with Wisconsins legislative staff attorneys. In this state alone, they make well over 1000 new laws/regs per year and they are years behind in deleting old out dated and or superceded laws/regs BUT thats ok because they are enforced anyway which of course causes more court cases and forces you to pull out your wallet and take it to court. Because until they catch up "Its da Law!" ~ Judge Dredd. Problem is they never catch up.

Presently well more like a couple years ago we have over 62 million laws/regs in the land of the free where less gub is better gub because snotties nutsuckers, the dubya/clinton mafia ring and their ilk et al took over the joint years ago.

Today they make a new reg every time a court case is won which has created a monster one shoe fits all and this is the shoe, no other will do approach.

There are many ways to accomplish something and the way the gub does it is the way that will get most of them and their nutsuckers paid the most most all under the guise of saving you money.

Its how our court system and laws have been gutted and destroyed by the cancer within.

SMART idea. Go Trump!

Trump is going to do something for the little guy, by spending on the military. Yeah, no. And Wisconsin staff attorneys? Is that like saying velveeta cheese product, because Wisconsin is not known for their legal or governmental aptitude.

Not getting fired from his gig on The Apprentice if the avatar of the press in question is owned by Murdoch.

It's quite strange to see the Trumptooners making excuses for their lardy shaved orangutan refusing to talk to the press: weren't they all pissing and moaning ("Waah! The nasty bitch has something to hide if she won;'t talk to Fox! Waaah!") when Clinton started doing that back in July?

Trump On Regulation: A 70 Percent Cut?

In recent remarks regarding his economic agenda, Donald Trump proclaimed, “We are cutting the regulation at a tremendous clip. I would say 70 percent of regulations can go.” This week, he went one step further, suggesting perhaps 80 percent of regulations could go.
Conclusion

Cutting red tape is a laudable goal. Unfortunately, it would likely take a generation, not an administration, to find $600 billion to $800 billion in regulatory cost savings. Trying to achieve that goal would require using the tedious process outlined in the Administrative Procedure Act, congressional action, blessings from the judicial branch, or likely all three just to achieve the more modest ten percent goal. Cutting regulatory costs is far from impossible.
