Status: offline 		This may meet with alot of mixed emotions, theories, criticisms and opinions, but i'm gonna toss it out there anyway to see what happens.

What if someone is simply tired and bored with life? What if someone doesn't wish to continue taking up space and no longer wants to be a financial burden on society? Would it not be more beneficial to society to just let them go and not waste any more time, money or energy on keeping them around when doing so only adds a strain on others? Who has the right to not only force a person to continue on when they no longer wish to, but to make the rest of the world give up things that could be of better use to those who actually wish to remain among the living?

You see, i think that suicide should not only be legal, but be considered as a sacrifice so that what they may be using could be better given to those in need and wishing to go on living.

Status: offline 		Micheal who is stopping you from killing yourself.  Or do you want someone else to kill themselves?  If you want to die, go for it, no law can stop you..  Quit wasting our air.  It will never be considered a sacrifice.  It will always be considered a stupid waste.

Status: offline 		People who want to commit suicide are often ill or depressed.  In that sense how sound a decision to kill themselves are they making?  How would their lives change or how could they possibly become a productive member of society if their disorder was managed so they no longer feel like that?  I do feel assisted suicide in some cases should be ok but that's a whole other can of worms than what you are talking about.  Regardless, if someone wants to kill themselves, they can.  Easily.  They just shut up about it and go off and do it.  It's the ones who are whining about it who usually are just crying out for help.  I would be more inclined to try to help the person as long as they are also willing to help themselves.

Status: offline 		If someone genuinely feels they want to die, they should have the option to end their life.  It's the simplest form of freedom we have on this earth.

However, those individuals with multiple suicide "attempts" are just useless attention whores.  If someone really wants to kill themselves, it's a trivial matter to accomplish.  If they fail more than once, they're clearly just just looking for pity.

Status: offline 		I personally have no issues with suicide, and some cultures do not, in general, either.  However... seems a bit meladramaticly martyrous to try to raise it beyone anything other than a choice you have made for yourself, as if it were some glorious sacrafice for humanity, because in the end it is not, it is just another death that, in a set amount of time, will be completely forgotten as most deaths are.

Ah yes...these posts are never about you are they? How many times have we all been here? I just wish you would be honest and write a post that says you are desperately needy and craving the extra attention a post like this brings you....even if all of that attention is usually negative. You could title it "Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, I think I'll eat some worms". At least that way we might be able to at least get a laugh out of it.
