Sorry,  ladies and gentlemen if this topic offends anyone, but I have only a general knowledge of various kinds of kink. Is there a category of kink where men like to watch women douche themselves after they finish their periods. Has anyone experienced this request from a Dominant or read about the practice? Just curious.

earthycouple -> RE: Douching after a Menstrual Period (5/10/2007 1:46:08 PM)

there is a category of everything, my dear.  Some men love that sort of thing.  I personally don't want that man...but someone does, I'm sure!

Just to point out, douching is not necessary and is really not advisable. It tends to mess with your natural PH levels and can lead to yeast infections.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Douching after a Menstrual Period (5/10/2007 1:54:33 PM)

I don't know of a specific name, but yeah, it's out there.

Douches are to something to be avoided anyway IMO.

EvaLass -> RE: Douching after a Menstrual Period (5/10/2007 2:04:03 PM)

Yes, you are absolutely correct that douching is really not a good idea generally. If a woman has very heavy bleeding and really feels uncomfortable, she may choose to douche, but needs to be aware that chronic douching is a bad idea. Thank you pointing this out. It does affect the acid balance of the vaginal area. It should be made clear that this post does not support regular douching as a form of play. Not a good idea to add it to a book of great things to do on a Friday night. I am mainly interested in whether it is a form of kink that people write or talk about.

I'd have to think that if you can think it up it's probably somebody's kink.

ShadowMster -> RE: Douching after a Menstrual Period (5/10/2007 2:10:30 PM)

I was reading an article about a fetish regarding women in high heels starting cars.  There was an entire website devoted to video clips of women, wearing CFM high heels, getting into a car, and satrting it up.

If this qualifies as a kink, I'm sure somone out there will find the act of performing a douch as fetish or kink.

vield -> RE: Douching after a Menstrual Period (5/10/2007 2:32:33 PM)

Yes indeed there are dom and sub men and women with many sorts of kinks related to the life cycle of women. Douching is one kink, whether it is wise or not.
Using the partner AS the douche is likely a much more common one, where the dominant woman "makes her sub man or woman serve her at this time. It can be amusing when a Domme is really trying to humiliate a sub by "making them" keep her clean in any of several warm ways, while the sub who has actually got a fetish towards doing this is eagerly obeying!
It can also be very hot to "make" a submissive who has been taught how "dirty" her special time is open herself to the dominant's attentions then. Naturally one needs her consent.
In all cases fluid exchange safety must be assured of course, but if everyone agrees it is OK and is fluid bonded, best have some nice thick towels over the sheets!

shower curtain over the bedding, then a flannel sheet over *that*.  it works.

and for the question on yeast infection....2 teaspoons hydrogen peroxide in water used as a douche can actually prevent the yeast overgrowth.  i'm borderline diabetic and struggled with that issue for *years* till my doctor told me that trick.  as long as i'm consistant with it,  (every other day) i dont have a problem at all.

kitten, who knows that's TMI ;)

TexasMaam -> RE: Douching after a Menstrual Period (5/12/2007 7:54:55 AM)

Thank God I was raised by a European who advocated regular douching for cleanliness.

There is nothing NASTIER than having to sit near a woman who recently stopped her flow and being subjected to smelling her aura of metallic ammonia as the blood products break down.

Semen deteriorates and creates its own unique ammoniated smell as it breaks down after about 36 to 72 hours, too....

.....if you think that tampons and pads or pantiliners prevent that entirely, you're in for a BIG surprise......egads ladies, DOUCHE, please!

Saline douche w low % vinegar added for acidity stops most yeast infections and is the best routine douche formula to use at least once a month after a period to maintain healthy ph balance.

Betadine douche works well too - most pharmacies carry a premixed solution at the correct %.

Other premixes that are available off the shelf are a mixed lot:  some are perfumed, some are cleansing, but if they are alkaline (soapy or make bubbles) they aren't made to maintain a healthy PH, they're only made to rake in a few bucks for the manufacturers.

It IS possible to douche, and douche regularly, (after a menstrual period, after sex, etc.), and maintian a healthy, sweet and fresh vaginal environment.

How do YOU know if you need to douche?  Slip your clean, washed finger into your snatch and taste the fluid yourself.  If you're not fresh enough to smell and taste up close and personal, you're not fresh enough to be near the rest of us, either.  I wouldn't DREAM of commanding a man to pleasure Me orally without knowing in advance exactly what he's going to find when he opens his mouth and tastes Me.

As for the guy who wants to watch a woman douche?  I'm sure they're out there.  Although I can't say that I ever had a man watch me use a bidet....

...perhaps the guy was trying to drop a hint?

TM

PS adoracat: the hydrogen peroxide solution was one I hadn't heard. I'll follow up on that, thanks for posting.  TM

Wow, thanks for all the information. I sure that this will please any Dom who wants to watch his submissive douche after her menstrual cycle. Thanks, everyone.

Sirandlittle1 -> RE: Douching after a Menstrual Period (5/12/2007 4:11:42 PM)

There's a catergory for everything i find. The more specific and specialised in its detail, the less likely you are in finding another with the same bent.

My Sir is squicked by periods. A legacy i have to live with thanks to a mother who 'hid' the dirty 'shame' of menstruating from the all male household. The only reason he'd want me douching, is to cleanse me of the 'dirt' that he views periods as. (strong language used to denote the tone, rather than the accuracy of his pov.)

Douching for any reason. Is not medically sound. Unwise. The vagina is a self cleansing organ, with sensitive flora and forna you dont mess with. Now and again though, ok.
I notice if i douche, ill get thrush. No matter how sterile what i insert is. It simply messes with my natural balance of flora/forna/ph level and the bugs have a party.

FelinePersuasion -> RE: Douching after a Menstrual Period (5/12/2007 6:22:50 PM)

I do not douche ever, and I and my pussy are quite fine. I do not by the throry you have to douche to keep a nice pussy.

playfulotter -> RE: Douching after a Menstrual Period (5/12/2007 6:33:49 PM)

i find the more You masturbate during this time or have an orgasm it works to make everything..A okay!

EvaLass -> RE: Douching after a Menstrual Period (5/12/2007 8:16:13 PM)

You know, I have read that douching is not medically sound. To emphasize again: the purpose of this post was not to serve as an advocate for douching as a regular BDSM practice. Texas Maam says it can be safe. I am going in search of the medical literature now to see if I can resolve this issue. What I have heard is that it is not necessary to do it on a chronic basis, but okay to douche on occasion. After a very heavy period, some women keep seeping blood for a few days, and it is very unpleasant. Quite honestly, it can be worse when you get older, and I don't know why. I had no idea that a man (Dom) would actually enjoy watching a woman cleanse herself after her period. I don't think it has anything to do with hygeine, though. It is probably a humiliation thing. Is the woman embarrassed by the natural product her body makes, does she feel unclean, and will she be humiliated to have someone else watch while she washes it away. As someone said earlier, whatever floats your boat (as long as it is safe and consensual).

slaverosebeauty -> RE: Douching after a Menstrual Period (5/13/2007 9:27:25 AM)

Ditto about the health aspect, its not neccessary; ask your GYN and she will tell you the same thing, DON'T DO IT. {plenty of medical info out there that says the same thing} Their are numerious reasons, one being that it disrupts the natural ph balance, two, the vagina is self-cleaning, after your period your body is clean, if you don't like the 'residue' {for lack of a better word} take a bath and use a water vibe or your toys and CLEAN water, you will get rinsed out and be safer than if you used a douche, yuck; or just have sex in the bathtub to get the rest of that stuff out, thats more fun anyways.

Yes, I have been asked to douch and be watched; the ONLY time I ever did it was after we had anal then vaginal sex, it was a BIG health thing {not a smart thing to do, anal should be a last stop, always}; it was an 'oops' of sorts; after that, we waited until my body had restored itself and things were fine.
