Status: offline 		Does anyone else find their thoughts dominated by a fantasy? Everything about it is so exciting to me. In fact, perhaps because I waited 2 years, I'm in sexual overdrive! Is this normal? It feels out of control. Help!

Status: offline 		Waited two years how? For what? Sounds like sub frenzy not knowing exactly what you mean. Do a search here on it and you will find lots of info. Very common, especially for women around 40.

In answer to the original post. Yes, its to be expected. Im running around like a kid in a candy store! Which is beginning to look rather ridiculous at my age, but i love it. My drug of choice - Him.

I Love love love the thought of pet/pony girls. I often see a girl somewhere and think "Hmmm.....I wonder what she'd be like as a pony". I think I need help, to answer your question I think like you do all the time .

Status: offline 		It means that the erotic is strong with you. Very many in  the BDSM community are the same way. You still need to decide how much of your fantasy you want to convert into reality. One thing you will find is that the stronger you erotic energy is the more it will cost you to try to push your fantasy self aside. The stronger the erotic the more likely it is that you will let your sexual self get out of control and harm your relationships.

Those of us with strong erotic energies need to be smart about our choices, we live life more on the edge than most people do.

Status: offline 		I think you have answered your own question, from a deeper truth within yourself. Obsession is not healthy. It controls one's life, just like an addiction. Consent comes from free choice, not duress. If one is controlled by obsession, then they lack the capacity (sanity) to freely consent.

Status: offline 		I choose for that obsession, that fire burning within to be my sanity. I am consumed daily by thoughts of pets, rubber, leather, toys, bondage, service..

I choose for that fire that burns me from the inside out and rages to be my form of who I am. My expression, my desire, my passion, to be my sanity.

Why can I not be that fire? and have that strength and fire to give to someone?

I wear my collar proudly wherever I go, and I am successful in all things that I do, because I have a driving fire inside me, that will not let me quit.


I think Ill keep my "obsession" burning bright and find someone who has the obsession to put that fire on display.

It's normal to think about something a lot, if you are very interested in it. And if you like thinking about it, it's fine. All you have to worry about is if the thought begins to affect you negatively: you forget important things because you were daydreaming, you can't put it out of your mind and focus on a newspaper/book you want to read, etc.

The only cure, of course, is to become a pet Hopefully your platonic obsession hasn't blown it out of proportion...

Status: offline 		I wonder how many Dom have a similar experience?  I'm just getting myself introduced to the local BDSM culture so I'm trying to be on my best behaviour till I learn the ropes and rules so to speak.  My fantasies I keep compartmentalized, I must, cause most of them would alienate my friends and coworkers.  But when I feel I can bring them out they consume my thoughts to no end. It's odd..I've been so used to hiding them from people in real life I find it hard to openly discuss them with others in the community.  I feel a driving need to get out there and start doing something about it now that i've come so close.

I think it's completely normal, especially after one experiences the sort of "awakening" that many subs do. For some, even the freedom to think about the things they were ashamed or afraid to really explore (if only internally) before is intoxicating.

When I first discovered there were other people who felt the way I did, that it had a name and that "regular" people engaged in the kinds of things I fantasized about, I read as much as I could about D/s and BDSM...and it was in my thoughts all the time. I would look at people and think "Is he? Is she?", get turned on if a certain type of man or woman even glanced at me sideways and was certain I had some kind of submissive essence oozing from my pores.

This, like everything else, is not permanent. I would encourage you to enjoy being where you are, try to be fully present and feel the feelings, maybe even write them down for reflection later, you might find them useful (or entertaining) later.

As far as "feeling out of control" goes, I'm not sure if you are saying you feel like you are out of control in terms of not being able to make wise choices or if you just feel so overwhelmed with feelings it's hard to find the ground sometimes. It would be wise to practice methods that work for you in terms of grounding, but unless you feel you are in some kind of danger, enjoy the moment! I believe that things have a way of balancing themselves out naturally.
