Status: offline 		I am roman catholic and my domme friend is greek orthodox, so basically christian.  Does bdsm mean we are going to hell? or are we good?

That's one of those questions that nobody can answer for you. You have to decide it for yourself.

By the way, coming here for religious advice (particularly if you are Christian) is a really fucking bad idea.

according to your professed religion's dogma, as long as they are in good standing with the "one-true-religion" when they die, what's to stop them?

If you have concerns of your faith and BDSM, you would be better off bringing them there. Check around with google and livejournal (I know it's corny but there are some good BDSM groups there).

Status: offline 		I have found some sites that were against it and some sites saying that it was ok.  I did find out for all those who are muslim it is actually written that it is fine as long as there is consent.

Oh my....well technically, according to the Catholic Church, all sins are equal. If you confess your sins and say an Act of Contrition and receive an Absolution...then chances are good that yes, people like Ted Bundy could go to heaven. Of course they would have to still have to deal with that pesky Purgatory but if they could get enough people to pay money and light candles...yeah...it could happen.

Personally i believe God is too loving to condemn anyone - He's also pretty smart. He knows we do a good enough job all on our own. hee hee

Status: offline 		I would contend that BDSM is not in and of itself sinfull, any more than any sport or any sexual activity is sinfull in and of itself. Sin comes from motivation for what you do more than the actions themselves.

I don't have a problem with him coming here and asking it. It's BDSM related (in a way). He should just be prepared for all sort of different views. Some he may find offensive or blasphemous.

Bingo. In this context it is the intent and not the action that brings about the sin.
