Let's see, you are 26 and the OP was refering to women between 18 and 25 not to mention my post wasn't intended to refer to ALL women and obviously on average, 18 year old girls are just not going to have the life experience of a 25 year old. Don't confuse yourself with the average.

There are sheltered 60 year olds who don't have a clue and 12 year olds who already know how to raise children. there are always exceptions and more often than not those exceptions are gonna point themselves out in a glaring obvious way. I think you will find that happens only really with Dom's Domme's usually want someone arond their age or older. When I was 16 and i had become interedted in this not many Dommes would eve speak to me, ui think it has caused a lot of built up frustration and a bit of mistrust in me because I feel like no one would train me, teach me or give me a chance. By the time I found someone to teach me, I was in a vanill realtionship, what are you gonna do??

After that, the ims (from Dommes, too) never stopped. No one seemed in any way discouraged by my age. lol. different experiences

Hello Mr. Oblivious Easy now. I'm sure if you think about it you would agree. Whatever level of maturity you have now, one would hope that in fourty years you would have developed more. It is certainly some relative person to person, some people start out ahead of the pack, but for goodness sake lets not deny that growth and maturity happen. Life would not be much fun if the best of the self occured in the begining, you and all of us have tons to look forward to. Maturity of the self is an ongoing process, not a line that is crossed or a prize that is won.

Unfortanely...speaking out of personal experience, nearly all my guy friends dont wake up early enough to read the morning paper since they were downing beer bongs til 4am the night before. Given this, I can safely assume that their girlfriends dont care too much about morning paper discussion since there is none to be had. They also live paycheck to paycheck with no savings and forego paying their bills on time in light of ensuring their beer cache remains full. I've never even thought to duicuss things like future fiancial plans and 401k plans with them since it would be the equivalent of having a discussion on rocket science with a three year old. I can safely assume their girlfriends dont care about job stability or 401k plans or stocks...since there is none to care about. Of course, there is my friend K. who is 23, a mid level manager at a Fortune 500 restaurant corporation, and far more mature, responsible and disciplined then I am. I actually secertly kind of hate his guts since he is what I could be right now if I had made a lot better decisions when I was a teenager. (But luckily I am a lot more mature now then I am when I was a teenager) As much as I dislike being lumped into the same category as them, I know I'm not and therefore dont get annoyed when people make generalizations that are, in fact, more true than not (Even though I will always argue against age being linked to maturity and experience). I simply take comfort that the right people see me for what I really am and thats all that matters.

ya know, i've noticed that when people ask this, why a younger woman, why an older man, why not someone your own age??????? it's generally because of feelings, perhaps unconscious feelings, of insecurity... it has nothing to do with younger women being more fit or firmer bodies or less wrinkles, etc... etc... etc... it just is... i'm 35, my submissive is only 27, but every bit as mature as any 35 year old women... my last one was 3 years younger than me, the one before that was only 19 at the time, 20+ years younger than me, so what? i have had submissives and vanilla girlfriends of all ages, indeed even a few older than myself, hell, my ex wife of 15 years was a year older than me... it has nothing to do with age, age doesn't really matter except to vanilla social norms... the reason is all about how the two people get along, period. granted there are men who like to prey on the young and naive, alot of men, but mostly when two people click well it makes no difference what age they are. personally i get along with younger women best... all my friends are less than 22, even the few guy friends i have. i seem to get along with women better than guys so almost all my friends are young women... so yeah, i am constantly surrounded by young women. people ask me about this all the time but if my 27 yr old sub/girlfriend has no problem with me surrounded by young girls why should anyone else? my advice... ask yourself what social norms you're clinging to and what insecurities you might have about yourself that makes this age thing an issue. then work on getting over it, improving the issues and talk with your dom about it. the fact is age doesn't matter so long as everyone is of legal age.
