Status: offline 		I read a lot of forums and find people using W/we, U/us, T/they, etc. to explain the Dom and the sub.  Personally, I capitalize "My Pet" as that is her name.  I capitalize "Sub" when it's the beginning of a sentence.  I've started to capitalize "Dom" and not "sub" as a matter of fitting into the lifestyle.  My Pet has taken an instant liking to W/writing.
 
I suppose I just wanted to know how everyone feels about all this.  Is anyone vehemently for or against it?  I thought it'd be a fun discussion for both ends of the leash.

OMG...  here we go! 
 
Perhaps you should go to the search page and use the filters there to find the pages and pages and pages and pages of answers; it's all just opinion, though.

It's hard to read.  I understand it is done as a mater of respect, but at the same time, it's like the hacker geek spEaK of UsINg MixEd CaSE to MakE w0rds L00k dif-r-ent.

Status: offline 		I personally do not like it. I do not think that it makes a person more dominant if I cap pronouns ect. You either are or are not.

I've never been a big fan of the grammer in E/everyone..etc..etc...etc...  let alone talking as a 3rd party. But that's just me. Some are required to. Some just like to.

At one time many years ago I had someone request that I start typing like that in a chat room. It was too strange to me. And another explained to me it was prefered in that certain chat room for people to know whom was what. To me it looked like everyone was same.. because they was all typing like that. Doms and subs alike...LOL.

But I learned on this site, it's mostly because some were trained to, some just like to, and others just down right despise it.  To me it is sometimes hard to read, understand what someone's trying to get across with all that. But other times I just over look it, or skip over their post. Depending on my mood really.

Status: offline 		I do not care how people post what they post. If they are difficult to read I skip their post. It does not matter if they speak in slashy speak, have other writing problems, annoying font, I just pass them by if they are difficult on my eyes unless they are directly responding to me.

I do not do it, as you can tell from this post. I do capitalize "Daddy" though to differentiate him from everyone else...If I were to do the slashy thing he would correct me anyways.. he would not find it pleasing

Status: offline 		I find that using C/c stuff, like, "W/we are going to the market," to be hard to read. "you are going to the market," isn't quite so hard for me to read...but then I do use a variation of the Cap protocol when talking to mine. I don't cap things that pertain to me, but I lower pertaining to them. I expect them to cap things pertaining to me and lower pertaining to them. Just my way.

Status: offline 		I'm a big grammar fan. I'll capitolize Sub if it's in the begenning of a sentance and despite my submissive nature I always capitolize 'I'. I stick with real grammar first above BDSM abbreviations. I do use the term Dom/mes when I'm speaking to a large group and I do write D/s with a little s. That's about it though.

Status: offline 		Unless someone is writing to me specifically and we are using language as a form of control and Ds, I find it highly annoying to read especially when it has that bloody / between letters to indicate both tops and bottoms are being addressed.

I think communication works best when we try to communicate clearly. I don't find third person speech, upper or lower case letters to be as clear as simply formal English (or whatever you primary language is).

Someone who insist on using these forms in their writing or their speaking to me runs the risks of my ignoring them when it gets to be too annoying for me to bother attempting to understand what they are saying. (I'm sure someone feels the same way about how I write too)

I am not sure whether you used "fast reply" or if that was in response to me. I would like to say I am a very juvenile person and I have no problem with that estimation of my character because it is the truth. I never want to completely grow up
