Either God is your master, or some human is your master. You can't have two masters.

How people belive in God and when is completely up to them. You seem to be wanting to dissolve Christianity, by the same way most evangelicals try to gain more Christians, by insisting you have to do it by the book or else you aren't doing it at all.

Religion is a personal choice. And the Bible has been mistranslated and retranslated so many times, it is not always worth accepting everything it has to say, irregardless what religion you are. Stop trying to get people to give up their beliefs in whatever God (s) they choose, and start living as an open, accepting human being. This thread is old. I don't want to see you turn it into another "Biggots vs BDSM" discussion, cause we all know the flame wars should die down. No one likes flames.

This discussion was totally about whether or not Christians can be into or have issues with being into BDSM and being Christian, not whether or not Christians could be Christian because they are into BDSM.

Most modern Christians do NOT follow the book 100%, but they are still Christian, and I wish you would lay off people's personal choice in matters concerning their spirituality. Thier choice, not yours.

BTW, getting people to join your religion by bashing theirs won't get you any followers, just flames. Trust me, it is the same mistake the Christians are doing. You can not get people to join a religion of love, if all you preach is hatred.

You can have two masters. You can have half a dozen if its all consensual. You can have a master and a mistress as well, if thats how your house works. No one has the ability to say what one can and cannot have within their dynamic. And whats between a person and a god has nothing to do with anyone else.

i think God is far more forgiving, understanding, and tolerant of lifestyles than people or an institutions are.

If I may add my 2-cents (which is probably what it's worth), Your sado-masochistic needs are a part of you. If you really believe in God then you have to accept that these needs and desires were placed within you by God. Ultimately, is this not God's world? If God is the creator and prime mover of all of this and all of us, then it is God who is ultimately responsible for that creamy feeling you get when you smell leather. Right?

Which is more important to you, the relationship you know in your heart that you have with God or the all too man-made dogma of religion? Somehow I sincerely doubt that the way you relate to your lover is an issue for God. I mean, he knows about it already, he engineered you that way. My guess is that your pastor would probably have far more trouble with it, but since he is only a man and is not actually entitled to look that deeply into your life or to pass judgement on what he sees there, I wouldn't worry about that either.

Other than the belief in Christ, this is the first time I've heard of a non-credal group like the Quakers being described as having similar beliefs to the mainstream churches. Are you sure they weren't Baptists wearing funny hats?
