I guess it's a matter of perspective ... I thought Rudy was dreadful. He didn't seem willing to answer the questions as asked, and was called on it a few times. When he thanks Tancredo for calling him soft on something, because it was the first time he has been called soft in twenty years ... I wanted one of the other candidates to tell him to get off his own dick. His response to Ron Paul, missed the entire point of what Ron Paul said ... and the call for a retraction had that little "pretend to be offended" look to it.

Then again, this was a debate for the Republican nomination, and since you are a Republican, and think he won, I'll take your word for it.

Popeye,
don't you think the candidates for the republicans are so called flip flopping?  Guilianni with his stance on abortion.  Romney and his veto on a gun bill?

Caitlyn, "people of both political persuations?"
Do you mean Constitutional and Green?
Or maybe Libertarian and America First?

One thing good about Paul is that he DOES believe in the U.S. Constitution!
That would be refreshing after straying so far from it the last 15 years or so.

Ron Paul is done. He literally stated that the United States is to blame for September 11th.

Did he really? Big mistake.

I dont have the exact quote but he said something to the effect that because the US bombed Iraq for 10 years and lead the call for sanctions that it was the reason America was attacked. Giuliani jumped on him, and Paul refused to back down.

Actually, what he was saying (I heard this portion on the radio this morning) was...they're after us because we're in their land.

I heard recently (I'm not enough of a history buff to debate this...so if ya'll want to fight this one...you win) no western country has ever won a war in the Middle East.  Add in Russia, and everyone that's gone in to fight the area (not a given country) has been handed their hat on the way out.

These guys don't play by any standard set of rules (not that, in my opinion...anyone should, in war).

Ron Paul was basically saying they want our heads because we're shitting in their back yard.

The Dems or course are irresponsible as to their demands of a timeline.  Anyone with 3 neurons left knows that's a meal ticket to 6 feet under...but as poor a candidate as Ron Paul may be...he was right...they're killing us, in multiple countries...because they want us gone.

Would they kill us anyway(?)...well...Isreal gave away a bunch land that was supposed to stop all the screaming, and Hamas said some months back (after of course they agreed that the Palestinian settlement would absolve past all sins) "we are at war with Isreal....any past agreements are null and void"...yeah they'd kill us anyway....but they didn't prior to 1993 World Trade Center bombing (invasion of Kuwait was in 1991).

But that ain't what Ron Paul said...he effectively said that our involvement in the Middle East exacerbated (at minimum), and probably caused these attacks.

Should we not have gone in to Kuwait?  Fuck no....but Gulliani turned what Ron Paul said...into something the question (and comment) never was.

Ya know...when Clinton was first interviewed about the Lewinski thing...he was asked a very simple question:  "Are you having sex with that woman?"

His answer was brilliant, and one whose carefully crafted fine points were never caught by the media.

He said "I am not having sex with that woman".

And at that exact moment...unless Monica was just below the sight line of my TV (and wasn't getting kicked in the teeth by Hillary sitting just inches from Bill)...he didn't lie.  He wasn't (at that moment) having sex with that woman.

Ron Paul has been lambasted by the press today...for things he never said, and very likely for things never intended when he said them.

People that have opinions bred for them, as determined by TV, newspapers and other dubious outlets who have a specific agenda that deviates from the truth, deserve to have their news spoon fed to them.

(And for those who plan on voting this coming election...please do your own homework, and don't parrot some moron on the radio or TV simply because you're too lazy to think for yourself).

Maybe Rudy wasn't listening closely enough ... being too busy insisting we should use "Enhanced interrogation techniques, but not torture."

Several of the candidates said that ... you wonder if they are suggesting we use the comfy chair.

Im not so sure on that. From the experts I've been reading and listening to today, they are saying that Paul may have handed Guiliani the nomination last night.

Yeah.... who's that?  Hannity, Rush or Bill Krystal?  Or maybe it was O'Reilly?

quote:

Not only did it distract attention away from the abortion debate, but it brought 9/11 back on the table which is Rudy's strength.

Ya think?  The book ''Grand Illusion: The Untold Story of Rudy Giuliani '' tells a completely different story. But you don't have to read it.....go watch Hannity instead.

quote:

Paul is not going to beat Rudy on that issue. It won't happen. He doesn't have the experience.

Ron Paul said basically the same thing last night and Rudy went into attack mode. And from what the pollsters and experts are saying....Rudy won.

You just said a day or so ago that what polls and pollsters say doesn't amount to shit. You've changed your position now?

Yeah, Fred Thompson? The guy who puts money in Fidel Castro's pockets but UNLAWFULLY IMPORTING Montecristos?

He's a fucking COMMIE SYMPATHIZER if you ask me.

Well its either him or Guiliani, so make your choice.

It won't be Guliani.

So who do you think it will be?

Rudy is leading the polls right now. (29%)
McCain has been in a steady decline. (23%)
Fred Thompson shows 12% even though he hasn't even announced he is running.
Romney (9%)
Tancredo, Brownback, and Huckabee each have 1%
Hunter, Tommy Thompson, and Ron Paul don't even register a single percentage point in the latest Gallup poll.

On the Democrat side....it shows Hillary with a now 10 pt lead over Obama. If you take Al Gore out of the calculation....Hillary is ahead by 13 points. Its looking more and more like Hillary is going to be the Dem's nominee.

I still think Guiliani can't get over the problem with the Firefighters.

He's there to take up space.

The person who wants to knock Rudy out of the race simply asks the question: "Since your wedding vows were meaningless to you, why should we believe you consider an Oath of Office to be any different?"

All he would have to do is point at AnencephalyBoy and say "Worked for him to not consider the Oath Of Office meaningful."

Here's that video clip of him responding to Michael Moore

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ds_GhRxivOI

You meant: "Here's a clip of Fred Thompson sucking on Fidel Castro's Big Brown Cock."

REAL AMERICANS DO NOT ENRICH FIDEL CASTRO BY UNLAWFULLY IMPORTING CUBAN CIGARS.

It's sad they way these Castro-Cock-Suckers feel they're immune to the law, really gives you a sense of disgust.

Fucking piece of shit Commies. If Thompson wants to be a Commie, let him. I don't know why ANYONE HERE would come out in support of that kind.

I'm voting for Ron Paul.  I'm in IL to. LOL. Sorry Obama.

I've signed up on his website, and looking at his website right now as matter of fact. Looking to make a contribution here shortly, and I wrote asking if there is anything I could do in this area to help.

I like him a lot, he reminds of Ross Perot. And the thing I liked about Perot, was the fact that he was a straight shooter. All the other politicians, look like politicians, you can even see them trying to remember their rehearsed lines. Especially McCain, and Guillianni(spelling).

Seriously, who is saying anything different other than him. The Dems are saying what Dems say, The Repubs are all circling around the same narrow view. He is the only one saying anything different. And if this country trully wants a change, and not just speak of change. Well, he's the only one not speaking from the same ole, same ole party rule book.

RON PAUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
