Hello Sir's/Ma'am's ...

i am new to this site, but not to the lifestyle.
i was wondering if You would rather have a good sub/slave or brat?

i am not sure which i am sometimes i am really good and other times, i am a PITA...

I prefer good.

Unlike most brats however, I do not equate good to "quiet, passive, weak, boring, stupid, dull, background" nor do I equate brat to "lively, intelligent, sparkly, feisty, smart, strong, fiery, bright personality."

I want a mature responsible adult who knows how to be intelligent, witty, fun WHILE being good and knows that they don't need to separate the two.

I'd rather have both. Give me someone who will love, serve, and obey, but isn't afraid to flash me sass when needed and can zing as good as she's zinged, and I'm a happy guy. Having someone being constantly obedient or constantly a pain in my ass gets old and boring, not to mention very irritating. Besides, people are people and need to be able to express themselves in changes of mood and projection... there're plenty of human robots out there already.

To some people a brat is a good sub/slave. To others a brat isn't a good sub/slave.

To me a brat is just someone trying to top from the bottom. Being playful and spirited is a good thing. I have never thought anything about being a brat was attractive or cute.

i can speak for my Daddy on this topic. When we met i was a brat, and a SAM and that's all i knew how to be. (Someone had mentioned someone that submits of their own accord...vs. someone that needs/wants to have it taken from them and i was one that THOUGHT i needed it taken from me)

The sweeter and more obediant i am the happier my Daddy is..... sooo bye bye SAM:)

I don't like brats.  I like good girls and boys.  I also like passion and playfulness and treasing and intelligence.  I don't think that's the same as a brat.

I don't think you'll find many (myself included) who 'wouldn't' rather have someone who is good (or at least 'trying') rather than an out-and-out brat.

But that really isn't the point of this post.

It's more a question to the OP.  When you say that 'you' are being a pain in the ass, what does that mean to you?  That you're being rebellious on purpose, or that your natural personality and inclinations are such that people 'believe' that you are a pain?  Do you really wish to be disobedient and unruly?  Do you want someone to have to go to lengths to 'tame' you just to see if they can?

VERY hard to answer from that small comment.
My slave is encouraged to view her comments and her feedback, I never wanted a "it" but someone who would continue to challenge me.
That however is not a "brat" by some definitions a "brat" is one who plays with comments to elisit a responce, Not in a kind way but in a way that can seem cruel.
Brat ... maybe if I knew you first hand, sarcastic  no possable way.

I like both aspects together, since I do appreciate a quick mind and a quicker tongue.

You can always silence a brat, physically restrain them too, and if you can't make them mentally submit, then you shouldn't have the capital letters.

But you can't always force slaves to be quick witted and fun to be around in the vanilla world.

As long as they don't go overboard in anyone direction, I say brat away. Make BDSM fun for the D's too, give them some motivation and amusement, or at the very least, the thrill of the chase and a target.

As they say "You can do anything in life, as long as you do it with style"[:D]

Why do people insist on a continued dichotomy?  Is this why strong women are still called bitches?  You can't just be strong and smart and opinionated, you MUST be a bitch also?

It's not either/or- you can be witty smart fun energetic AND be good all at the same time.

A feisty submissive is fun ...and I can enjoy their sense of humor and wit.... a BRAT is just that and not tolerated in my world ...

I like a pet to be attuned to me.  In time she learned when I want a spoiled child to be fussy at dinner and when I want a devout servant of my glorious name.
