Status: offline 		We all have "deal breakers" when looking for potential partners, these are serious things even if they are subconscious, and generally they are of the "industry standard" variety - must not be secretly married etc etc

deep down however we all have silly little deal breakers .. very personal to us .. that other people might laugh at, but that are just as crucial in our inner approval of new partners as the serious ones

soooooo ... what are your silly deal breakers .. and why do you think they are so important to you?

they must get over the fact that i suck my thumb ... if they find it attractive ... they get extra sparkly bonus points

they need to embrace my love of cheap trash fiction (like Mills & Boon, Harlequin type stuff)  ...if they wanna get snobby about fiction, they can read The Epic of Gilgamesh in Akkadian and I can correct their pronunciation while (glances at my current trash for inspiration) Amanda Yoyoknickers and Lance Lovesthempure make love on Amanda's kitchen table with wild abandon but both still denying their love because of that time Lance called Amanda a hussy in college after a misunderstanding over Lance's best friend Butch .... *sighs*

these are both really deal breakers about being indulgent of a part of me - a silly hopeless and i think quite adorable part of me. Were a D to think of that as something they wanted to train out of me .. i would know we weren't a match

A smoker who won't quit.  The smell repulses me. 

He hates that I watch "reality" tv shows....ok, they are stupid...but once you wrap your mind around the fact that they aren't really "reality" they are so much fun to laugh at...but only with someone...."reality" tv by myself is boring.

Status: offline 		Shaving his body hair. Omg. This is HUGE for me. I cannot, and I mean canNOT stand for men who have body hair to shave, wax, or otherwise remove it. It absolutely freaks me out. (softness, I still suck my thumb at times too. It can be very comforting. On occasion, Master puts his thumb in my mouth if we're just hanging out watching tv. ~smiling~)

What is the deal breaker - you being asked to shave his hair, or that he has shaved his hair?

Status: offline 		Goes to bed and snuggles with the dog, and i don't mean me, lol! Even though i love my dog, there is no greater turn-off than to swing my arm over the woman to give her a hug and have it land on a furry beast.

Status: offline 		I can't stand it when people spit when they talk. I have a family member who does this and !!! Also, spitting in general. Can't stand it. Get a hanky or something and see a doc if you have to spit all the time.  The other deal breaker is if the person really doesn't like animals. It's one thing if they have allergies, or can't stand a particular type of animal, but not liking any at all? Gives me the willies. There are others, but I've found that it really depends on the person - some people can do things that I find cute/endearing, whereas if someone else does the exact same thing, it annoys or grosses me out. Go figure.

Status: offline 		I have a lot of silly little things that trip me up.  Shoes seem to be the biggest.  I'm very particular about shoes.  Wing tips are sexy, girlie shoes with tassles are total turn offs.  Beat up tennis shoes are absolutely respectable, penny loafers and boat shoes have no place in a man's closet if the man in question doesn't loaf or boat.  In general, a man's shoes should always tie.  Except for boots which may be pulled on. 

Open toed sandals are turn offs.  Deep, deep in the darkest reaches of the most primitive parts of my brain its written that its unmanly for a guy to show their toes in public.  The more evolved parts of me know that this is irrational but when it comes to shoes, my reptilian brain seems to rule.

Status: offline 		My silly deal breaker is if they can't watch vampire movies, or have problems with my collection of plush critters.  I had a guy freak out once because one of my bears was "staring at him."  He couldn't relax if it was in the same room.

A very serious deal breaker for me is if they don't like cats.  One silly git actually said "You should get rid of some of the cats."  I pointed to the door & said "There you go, bye bye."
