cropduster -> RE: How many subs base the best DOM on his income? (5/16/2005 11:42:27 AM)

This is a good one for me to comment on. i have been critisized more than once for saying that i will not date a man who makes less than 2/3's of my income. It doesn't work for many reasons, but i have an excellent example: i fell in love with a man who made about 1/3 my income and was heavily in debt. Almost immediately i assumed control of his problems and corrected them, next i "fixed" his wardrobe, and introduced him to a whole new lifestyle. Within a month, he was on his knees calling me Ma'am, and i was miserable and confused, with a severely depleted bank account and a very needy Master-turned-boy. Another reason is one that many have already mentioned....being taken for a financial ride. It's very easy to board that train when i think i'm in love. i prefer the man i submit to to be stronger than me in every aspect: physically, mentally, emotionally & financially. i want to release totally, so i must trust his authority and guidance. cropduster
