Permenant marks are something I'd take more serious than a collar or a wedding ring because unlike an item they are not easily removed.

That sums up my thoughts to a "T."
Permanent markings are something that should be given a great deal of thought, not lightly gone in to.

I agree Maam but sometimes things dont work out as hoped for.

Piercings are permenant -- they can grow closed over time. For some of it is very little time.

Also if the piercing itself was symbolic you can do a sort of trump of that with a piece of jewlry that has symbolism for you.

We had Fox's ears pierced, yes, both of them, for our 7th ownership anniversary.
