Does that mean that I think like a guy?

Is that entirely a bad thing? I've been told that by men most of my life.
I just have little use for most females...sad but true. I identify with men
much easier.

Same here ... I know a lot of twits - which is one of the main reasons that I refute "female supremacists" when they start talking to me about it.

I did think that the "LOL" would make it clear that I don't think it's a bad thing, but *sigh* the problems of online communication.

I would say he is trying to tell femdoms that men are not going to give up.
Just because something gets hard to do.

Depends on the man. Some men will persist, some men will give up. Some women will persist, some women will give up.

Why is this about gender? Persistence is a human trait, not gender specific trait.

I don't see him referring to women at all.

Exactly. And that's my point. I do not see how men and women are so different in this respect.

Just the mere fact that the lifestyle is not a game to men. So, expect them to take it seriously. If something gets rough they will not give up so easily. For those whom the lifestyle is a game will give up when times get tough...when it isn't well they are in for the long haul.

Again, depends on the man. For some it's a game, for others it's less so. Let's not forget that for some women, it's a game too! And what is wrong if it's a game as long as the people involved are open and honest about the fact that they are into this for play aspects only and not some über Lifestyle?

I have no issue with iwill wanting to reassure certain dominant women that there are devoted men out there. I think most of us already know there are. I am not upset or angry with his post. I simply disagree with his generalizing broad sweeping statements.

Two, here is where we get generally about guys, if it is a game and a guy is good at it, he generally does not quit. If I define myself as a submissive I’m not going to suddenly say, “This is stupid. I quit.”

In any sport I can think of the guy that did not retire (or quit) is almost a cliché.

In Cricket, a sport played worldwide and which is fanatically followed by over a billion people, quitting is part of the game. A player may retire for any reason. This is mostly retired hurt or he walks, which is to say he calls himself out as a matter of honour ( the umpire didn't see it ).

An entire side regularly declares its innings, that is to say, the side retires having scored enough runs to make the contest interesting and gives over to the other side to see what they can do with the bat.

to attempt to state the differences between men and women would take more time than I have. I am not a shrink nor do I play one on TV. The women I have/had in this lifestyle are like Myself. W/we do it because W/we enjoy it! Call it a game, lifestyle, or what ever you wish...There is always A/another W/who thinks as you do...and always T/those W/who live to prove you wrong.

Hey Poppy. I think your on the money.

Just another one of the zillion things I'll never understand about cricket. Can you imagine the New York Yankees saying, All right old chap, we've scored 10 runs, that ought to do it now shouldn't it? Why don't you have a go at it and see about topping us.

Ahh true, but Baseball is so unjust...

One of the peculiar things about Baseball is where it is so unfair to the Batsman. The poor chap, hits a home run ( in Cricket 6 ) and then is sent to back of the order to wait his turn. Now a fine Cricketer can bat all day, and score as many runs as he likes. Makes much more sense.

Yes, but that poor chap gets a big boost to his batting average, slugging average, RBIs, total average, and all kinds of other statistics they've invented to gauge a player's value. And those mean $$$. That guy only APPEARS to be languishing on the bench. In reality, he's calculating his next paycheck.

Besides, when do cricketers get to take a piss? Do they have to wait for the tea break?

I've played cricket only once. I sucked, obviously, but I was surprised at how easy it is to hit the ball. I'm sure the bowler wasn't a superhero, but NO ONE hits a baseball the first time they play.

The batsman has to wait til drinks, which happen every so often, and then there is tea as well.

The fielders can leave the field and be replaced by a substitute fielder, often the 12th man. If the sub makes catch, or gets a run-out, then the score sheet says ...caught sub or r/o sub.

It is probably easier to hit the ball at the elementary stage. Which is why so many play it. But at the upper level the ball is very difficult to hit. The delivery comes off the ground, which varies in pace and consistency, and the bowler can target the batsman's body and head ( not the head of tailenders though ).

A fast bowler in Cricket is a little slower than a fast pitcher in Baseball. With Cricket you don't actually see the ball with a genuine fast bowler, instead you watch the bowlers hand, and I'm told this is similar in Baseball.

Where there is more variation in Cricket is with spin bowling; for a comparison and explanation:-

Cricket was a popular game in the USA until 1850's, and the first game played between nations was USA v Canada.

Thanks for the explanations.

I'd love it if MY score sheet said "caught sub."

Lam

Edited to add: About watching the pitcher's hand. Some pitchers give away a lot through their release--sometimes they even give away what pitch they're preparing just by the way they hold the glove--and a shrewd batter will watch for that, but he has to watch the ball too. (They say Andy Pettitte was giving away his pitches all through the 2002 playoff series with the Angels.) So pitchers usually try not to make the ball very easy to pick up as they release it. Certain pitchers go even further and develop a deliberately deceptive pitching motion--Orlando Hernandez ("El Duque") and lately Gustavo Chacin are examples of that.

The door does swing both ways, be you a Him or a Her, a D or a s. Everything should revolve around the concept of Understanding and Acceptance...without them you cannot have Safe, Sane and Consensual.

Oh, and my penis goes right (I think!)
