Fair enough, we still have some room for disagreement then.

I think what I say, what I say I find funny, and what I speak against reflects on me. As I said in a prior post, which I have now edited, I don't find an insult to someone's photo, as was done by GuidingLite, to be very amusing.

I am wondering something...
Early on, I was following this thread with interest, because any thread about communication interests Me.
Then the bantering back and forth began and I thought everyone was teasing each other to make a point.
Then at some point it became apparent that people were actually serious and I can't keep up with who has what problem with whom?
 
What I do know is that there are two or three people on the thread that have, over the months I've read these boards, ALWAYS been polite even when they were passionate about their feelings. These people are able to maintain dignity, and not make an argument personal. Now I've gone back and re-read this thread twice, and I have noticed that where a post can be taken in both a positive or neutral way, or in a negative, spiteful way, they are taken as negative and I'm wondering why???
 
I try desperately to think the best of someone until they prove they have dishonorable intentions... is being spiteful and warmongering really so satisfying at the end of the day?

Calandra, thats the difficulty with life in general and the net in particular. Once two people are at loggerheads, posts or indeed words, are viewed in a negative way.
As a male submissive i have one or two thoughts on how a Dominant should be spoken to, at least in public. 
Firstly politeness is free and a common courtesy should be afforded. Secondly if a submissive, male or female, is looking for a Dominant, then surely being impolite would give a negative picture of themselves.
Personally i was told to always treat a Dominant with respect. Not because its a given, or because they deserve it, ( and some dont ) but because my behaviour reflects as much on my Mistress as it does on myself, and that would get me a punishment that exceded most others.
