my favorite writer is J.D. Robb writing the 'In Death' series.  It focuses around a female cop and i very much identify with this character.

my favorite book would be 3 of them.. the Lord of the Rings Trilogy by Tolkein.

i've also started reading true crime novels of late.. they fascinate me.

I have far too many books to begin to list favorites.

I will list authors instead.

Michael Crichton

Dean Koontz

Rex Stout

Stephen King

Clive Barker - This guy is so twisted....

Of course I love the classics as well.

I am just not comfortable without a book around.

Pick up a Clive Barker novel. The Books of Blood will do. Barker makes King look like a Sunday school teacher.

Clive Barker Kicks Ass, Ive just finished reading the two Abarat books, not quite as twisted as some of his others but still well worth reading if you liked Weaveworld.
Just read Patricia Cornwell, "At Risk" wasnt as impressed with it as her "Scarpetta" novels
Just started re reading the Beauty Trilogy.. then theres, Stephen King...Brian Lumley, Ann Rule, Ann Rice, Wilbur Smith, Michael Slade, True Crime books. Horror, fantasy/vampire,
And then theres all the BDSM/fetish books(purrrrrrrrrrrrs)

Just got "Heart Shaped Box" yesterday, written by Joe Hill (son of Stephen King). It's been really good so far.
