This post reminds me of odd email I got a while back, A male sub, who had didn't want contact with his family, or friends, didn't want to make new friends, his only wish was to keep his Mistress happy......I asked him, what if him having friends and a life outside of our relationship would help make me happy, he said I don't think we are meant for each other, Ma'am....It just struck me as being odd. He also didn't care for the idea of my being active in my local s/m and pagan communities. I guess I found it odd because alot of times, I crave having people around me, (loves discussion groups especially;) ) Sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread

Sounds like someone who is ashamed of his sexual interests, Trampler. Thus he doesn't want to have contact with anyone else because he fears being asked about it or needing to defend it. That's an interesting fantasy a lot of people have.

It could also be that he is highly comfortable in society and is looking for a the Ds to provide him an excuse to avoid others or to relieve him of that stress.

When we were active in our meatlife communities it was a require that anyone with me needed to get active too. At minimum they would have to go to any convention or party or meeting that I went to unless something really important interfered like a class or work. I'm out, my name is my name whether it's on a book, at church, on a scholarly publication. I need someone comfortable with that.
