It's amazing the number of people with "degrees" who cannot write cursively!
I mean if they can't "write" how are they even getting into college?
When "anyone" can get a "degree" what are they worth?

the "dumbing down" of the educational system has more to do with the changes wrought in education post ww2 and standardization of teachings to the middle than it does to any celebration of diversity or anything else. they can get into college because remedial courses are now the norm. pretty sad.

I am in favor of legal, managed immigration. By legally managed I mean:

1) No local, state, or federal monies being spent on multi-lingual documentation (Learn to read and write English)

2) No local, state, or federal monies being spent on social benefits until any immigrant has lived in the USA for at least five years (This is not a social state, it is a republican capitalist state)

3) No immigrant, after naturalization, has a right to automatically bring their relatives into the USA (Let your relatives compete as all immigrants do)

4) No immigrant or naturalized citizen can draw monies, from any level of government, exceeding those monies drawn by native citizens (Pay your social security taxes and get your fair share)

5) Denounce your citizenship from your native home. NO dual citizenships. (If you want to be an American, that's the minimum sacrifice)

6) Support your new nation with vigor, unlike many natives.

Well, considering how the Natives got totally fucked over, who really blames them?

I don't think a few casinos really make up for it, and I don't think they're going to see any of the back rent...

Well, it comes from Bush, and if he's not held accountable for his felonies, why should anyone?

Hate to say it, but I don't believe anyone has the MORAL authority to complain, while known felons are at-large.

This just gets stranger and stranger.
Bush, Kennedy, McCain et al have been telling us that "This is not an "Amnesty" Bill!"
Ok, so why did they report on the News (CNN) tonight that ; "The Senate today voted on the "AMNESTY PROVISIONS" in this Bill."
I mean HOW can they be voting on "AMNESTY PROVISIONS" if it's not an "AMNESTY BILL?"
