I am studying and I have worked in the printing industry for a number of years where I had to be familiar with copyright law. If you think I am misinforming people, feel free to look up the laws yourself and correct me. I'd be happy to apologize if infact I am mistaken.

Honestly, Minnetar, given that the state I live in has no provisions for consensual battery or assault with a deadly weapon, if I was going to lose sleep over the possibility of being prosecuted, it wouldn't be for a no-profit copyright infringement.

i appreciate Your opinion. Why not contact the artist who You used in the avatar and see if they have given permission for use of it? Wouldn't that basically solve the issue? minnetar

Rich, i have tons of friends who are professional artists who take exception to the use of their art. Yes they post it online but that doesn't give us a right to use it. i believe it is totally unfair for you to feel it is a joke as this is the way they make money and earn a living. You want to use art then ask them. my avatar on yahoo was drawn for me individually. minnetar

roflmao i read it and clicked on the link. i approached mod 11 about the illegal use of art. She never sent me the link or had anything to justify the use of it. Yall are intelligent. You are responsible for what you do not the site. Based on my confrontation and her response the site doesn't care. Like i said previously. There are avatars on here by an artist who requires a license for their use. If they had received permission when i confronted mod 11, wouldn't she have told me so? minnetar
