BDSM and sexual interests aside, what are your passions and how much are they a part of your life?

I'm not really referring to every day type hobbies, although those chosen hobbies for some truly are a passion.

I suppose I'm hoping, through your responses, to be inspired in those things I feel passionate about but haven't done anything about.

At present, my garden, i am growing vegtables and herbs that i have not grown before. The thought of fresh veg i have grown myself really appeals to me.

Thank you for responding Politesub53, but I am wondering if there is something that inspires you so much it evokes an almost visceral response in you. Is there?

Truth, understanding, love, strategy games.  Lifting weights, some sessions (kind of lose interest then get interested again).

Teaching.  It's kind of a combination of all of the above, minus lifting weights- though it can feel like all of them at times.

I guess football does. i live and breathe as to how my team are doing, and have done since my father first took me to a match at the age of 4. I am now 53.
I mean proper football, played with feet, aka soccer.

Visceral responses for me; come from something that resonates my core being. Both listening to and/or  performing certain types of resonant music; often brings chills and a misty eye when it "opens" me up. It is the absolute purity of a series of notes, that can touch deeper than words or flesh. Creating that progression, which leads into that state of being; is no different than creating those same steps in another here, in this realm of touch and influence. It is: pace, timing, sequence, clarity and resonance; regardless of the form or format.

I have mentioned it in other threads, but my true passion is the part I play in women's empowerment.

Mock assailant nasty guy getting kicked in the head full-power.

Yay.  I think.

I learned Begging at age 4 when I discovered Ponys.
I perfected Begging by age 8 when I got a Horse.
By age 16 my dear departed Father thought for sure Boy's would take persidence andmy expensive habit would be no more.  He passed when I was 21 and I had a barn full of them.  There hasnt been a day my mind has been horseless, although physically I did go a few years with none.  Today?  only one Filly that I imprinted at birth, who is starting undersaddle and doing well.  ~  Without a horse, I'm not Me.

I would have to say that one of my greatest personal passions is Sculpture.Spending weeks or months creating a large marble is a very personal process for me. Ecspecially when it is one that I use strictly hand hammer and chisel. I have been making my living this way for 20 years, so it is major part of my life.

Music. I live for music. I play bass and if I someone would take that away from me I'd soon die from the inside.

I feel passionately about my family and their welfare at all times.I feel passionately about trying to be the best me that I can. I feel passionately about the rising price of gas and how I feel that all those oil investors and ceo's should be made to feel the pain and struggle 2 fold that they create in the lives of those less fortunate than themselves.I feel passionately about the fact that people have seemingly become more isolative. They stay in their cars or talk on their phones when out.Direct eye contact is avoided, polite conversation or a smile is almost non-existent, Rudeness abounds and it seems to be an "every man for himself attitude"....Tempting

Music almost always gets some reaction from Me. Certain politics, anything that threatens the well-being of my family, and baseball, particularly the Tigers.

Metal detecting, you never know what is in the ground and when you find a gold ring or a 100 year old silver half  dollar, it inspires you. Photography it is a challenge that I am new at, and it keeps me going. Hiking is a passion, because fitness is the goal and it is relaxing and quite visual in the woods. Cycle riding and camping open my mind up to new areas that I have only seen on a map.
