I thought "Grindhouse" to be the best movie I have seen in awhile. It comes with a warning though. You have to be somewhat of a fan of, or at least have some familiarity with, the spirit of all those drive-in movie exploitation movies of the 1970's to really enjoy the film. This is especially true for the second part. "Death Proof." Grindhouse is not for everyone, which likely explains why it did not do very well at the U.S. boxoffice. But if you're in the mood for something wild, adventurous and a little bit daring, you'll have a lot of fun. It includes parodies of exploitation horror film commercials from the 1970s that were so authentic and hilarious, I laughed myself to tears.
