ORIGINAL: caitlyn Fred Thompson seems like a strong candidate. I would think he would be very diffcult to debate with. Fred Thompson replied to a few questions when he was interviewed after he left the Senate. 1) He said he did not like spending 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, listening to government twaddle and voting on it. Dont we already have a person who refuses to listen to anybody and avoids doing anything important already? 2) He said he does not do frenetic. He did not enjoy having a job that required him to actually be somewhere and actually do something. Again, dont we already have that in the White House? Is it possible for the Republicans to ever nominate somebody who is a) not a has-been B-list actor and b) has an education and some insight into world affairs, and c) has a work ethic? I am wondering what they offered him. Perhaps they told him "We will elect you and you can do as little (or even less) as the cretin we elected last time." Sinergy Sounds like they are doing what they did last time, elect a doofus figurehead while Satan (err, Shotgun or Newt) pulls the strings in the background.
