I would lick Giada's table scraps any day!

Now, after some discussion with the wife, we personally think he might be.  But, we wanted the opinions of the boards.  See, our first thing that made us ponder is that he ALWAYS wears a simple black leather & metal braclet about his wrist.  Secondly, there have been many times where he has tied ropes, straps, and the like...  And in doing so, he is QUITE efficient.  Thirdly, there is of course the Dungeon scenes he seems to find a way to put in each season where he's called 'Master'.  And finally, he just gives off the kink vibe for some reason.

So what do people think?  Possible?  Not possible?

God I hope he is...LOL....[;)]

We love Alton, but that's because he is soooooo smart. We really enjoy learning the why's of food and i have used the general info alot when experimenting myself.

I liked Rachel better before she became "famous". Emeril grates on my last nerve, as does Paula's accent and Giada's skinniness. Obviously she doesn't eat anything.

Have you ever noticed that Giada's head is absolutely HUGE in comparison to her body? creepy...
and please don't get me started on The Barefoot Contessa....(not a bait)

It's a ploy.

I doubt we'd ever see a on-screen star be so brazen about the lifestyle in their particular show or movie.

I call Giada the Human Bobble Head!   Now that she's preggers I guess she'll be sporting a BABY BUMP, which i hope doesn't cause her to topple over!!   [:-]

I cannot stand that Giada DeLaurentus.  She was on an Iron Chef show and she pouted when the judges did not think her food was wonderful.  She lost to Rachel.  I am sick of that "y'all" gal too that has promoted her two sons into her cooking show and, I am sure, got them their own cooking show too.  Except on their show they do not cook, they just go places and taste other people's food.  Paula something... is her name.  She loves butter in and on everything.

I just watched a letterman clip of AB, and he said "sir" after both the first two sentences to letterman.

rings My bell as sub.

but it could be just military training.

what you guys think?

I suppose it's possible, however he was raised in the South and 'Sir' is used in many contexts. I say this as he was in Portland a few years back selling a cook book. He addressed me as Sir and my wife as Ma'am. Just my input.

I've been watching his show for years and met him a couple times at book signings, speaking engagements as well. He doesn't strike me as kinky at all, just a guy with an occasionally ribald sense of humor. And in public he is, indeed, unfailingly polite, but I think that has more to do with his Georgia upbringing and public persona than his sexual predilections.

Voted switch...

That being said, I think a lot of societies definitely need to function on a Ds level. Without it not much can function. I think it might be a case of thinking that "everyone else is the same as I am"

undinerising -> RE: Opinion: Is Alton Brown of Food Network's 'Good Eats' into kink? (12/31/2007 7:49:45 PM)

I think he's a geeky guy with an awesome sense of humor. It would be really, really convenient (plus hot) if he were a switch or sub. The Sir/Ma'am thing seems Southern to me. It's one of the last vestiges to leave the vocabulary, I'm guessing.

That Giada lady kinda creeps me out. I'm not sure why. She's like a horrific animated marionnette or something, flying around the kitchen carefully pronouncing everything to sound super-Italian. I liked Mario Batalli much, much better. Now there's a bear for you.

Kumasan2 -> RE: Opinion: Is Alton Brown of Food Network's 'Good Eats' into kink? (12/31/2007 8:58:50 PM)

In my dreams, Rachael Ray and Giada are subs who love gags and equally love to kneel before me with a wide selection of thier finest meats and cheeses prepared for my consumption.

Sorry... it's late and I have an active imagination.  [:)]

I would be his slave
he is so knowledgable about food I know I'd eat good.
