ORIGINAL: MistressNoName Depression. The bane of my existence. I totally can relate, pahunkboy, and others. I have to ask, altho I know it is meant to be helpful and supportive...why do people always say things like life is not so bad as it seems...? It just kinda seems that way sometimes. Again, to the couple of folks who said it, I know it was meant in a supportive way. Curious LadyDominaX, could you say more about how Cognitive therapy has ben helpful, without getting too personal. I am considering it for myself. I think I've had my fill with psychodynamic therapy. Thanx for any info. MNN I got tired of shelling out hundreds of dollars for pills that masked the symptoms of my depression but left me tired, brain fogged and more useless than when I was depressed. I picked up the book "Feeling Good, Feeling Better" and read through it, and applied the ideas to my life, and it has made a great deal of difference. I have come to realise that I can't change anyone but myself, but on the same token, no-one can really make me feel anything I don't want to feel. It has been a while since I read the book but I highly recommend it to anyone dealing with depression. I also suggest B50 vitamin supplements to help your body deal with stress.
