For what it's worth, while your actions up to the point where you started this thread aren't exactly praiseworthy, I believe you've handled yourself very well here and have shown considerable maturity and good sense. If you're always this quick to realize your errors and willing to make necessary changes, I think you'll make a fine Master in due time.

Well, your post was going to come under fire, simply because it was a common thread bemoaning the non answer of emails.

But full kudos to you for standing your ground and accepting that there may be a few errors made.

So welcome to CM.

Your profile has been suggested to be altered by others and I would have to say it isn't my cup of tea - but to each their own and my advice is to stick to what you want to write and be true to yourself. Don't change it if it isn't going to reflect who you really are. The one thing I would suggest is that there are alot of inconsistant words there - your profile name is tenderfootmaster, but the profile says you don;t call yourself a master - (this is just one example). It would just send up warning flags to me.

Plus you haven't been here long at all. And 166 mails is ALOT in such a small timescale. My thought is you are wrapped up in 'frenzy' - everything is new and exciting. But I would recommend you shouldn't even be entertaining the idea of taking on submissives or slaves if you are new. Take a deep breath and I would suggest 6months to a year before you even contemplate taking anyone on. It is obvious by your writings you aren;t even sure about yourself, and if you can't control or understand yourself - how can you care for another?

And try not to send 'skeleton' emails. Treat everyone as an individual and be personal with them - standard form mails aren't attractive and look lazy (IMO).

And get some sleep! Learn to look after yourself, then you can look after another

Ok, I read the first profile and then the updated one. Sounds a little better. Still, you need to get that silly application off your journal for the time being. Keep it in a file to send out to someone that is truly interested in continuing something with you maybe.

My firm position on the matter: If you can't be bothered to read a profile, then you can't be bothered to be a good partner.

Chill down - start reading profiles and find the women whose criteria you fit. That should help your response rate anyway.

i guess if you have sent out 166 messages in one day you cant be that bothered in anyone, quantity rather than quality. But i think you should think about the feasability of the thing, for example i get about 30-40 messages a day, when i get ones from someone im not interested in or their mail is either too flimsy or seems like a bulk, it is tempting to not reply, its not about lacking respect, its just about the fact that its tiresome getting so many generic mails sometimes.

Good luck with the application. I'd be surprised if anyone completes it, especially in the beginning without any initial contact. People on this site do not give out detailed personal information from the get go. There are way too many "players/wankers" on this site and until a sub/slave is confident the person they're corresponding with is actually a twue lifestyler, personal information is kept to a minimum.

Awwww how CUTE!! Well, seeing as you claim to have only been here four days...... you've only been here four days! Some people read and reply later, some read and do not deem yours words worthy of reply, and some reply politely, or not so, fairly quickly. This sounds so silly to me, and I don't know why I am replying truly... but eh, why not? If you put your heart and soul into 166 messages to random people, well, your heart and soul have a very low combined value, in my eyes. I have been here nearly 3 years, and have probably emailed that many people, truly putting time into reading their profiles and being choosey, for friendships and otherwise! Many people try to reach out and put a lil care here and there into messages, but part of sending them is knowing that they may go unread or deleted as you said. That's the internet, that's the way people are! Not everyone here is actively seeking, even if their profile claims so, and everyone's idea of "actively seeking" is different. Some people desire to email back and forth for a couple months before going to a messenger, some go straight to it, some won't talk on the phone for months to years, some expect it the first night. Some move in after only a few months and some require intense getting to know time over years! Everyone is different. Your approach is childish, if even real!

Edited to add: Believing in "love at first site" (be it love, or connection between Dom/sub, Master/slave, etc) is not the childish part, but EXPECTING 100% reply rate. That would be like...... applying to 100 places of employment and expecting calls back from each and every one of them even if they each had hundreds of applicants just to say "no thanks" ~ While some places of employment are respectful and kind enough to do so, most do not. While it's nice to believe in miracles like "love at first site" and miracles do exist, they are rare, and should be treated as such, not as an expectation. Remember, the real world doesn't always work the way "The Secret" does.... You can't live like you have girls you don't have without looking like an idiot and scaring away the ones worth anything.
