Hi all

I was just wondering how a Dom would define a slut? I have been called this many times and, while the Dom didnt mean it in an offensive way, my version of a slut seems to be somewhat different to a majority of what my friends think (vanilla friends of course!).

While I actually enjoy being called a slut, whore etc (as most of us do I would imagine) do you use it as a term of say, endearment or other?

Sorry, i am not a Dominant, but i used to be with one who called me a slut as a term of endearment, when i was finding my way into all this he created an identity for me that was detached from myself and when there he would call me "his cute little slut" normally when i felt nervous or anything, it used to give me a warm feeling sory of like being called hunny did in non D/s relationships

I can't imagine calling my sub or slave "slut" but that's me. I hear others say it in an endearing way and that's fine. I define it as someone who will fuck anyone. Again, though...when I hear others call their wards this term, I realize it is not meant that way.

I use it not so much as a term of endearment; but moreso as an acknowledgement of someone who can abandon themselves to their complete sexual nature while with me. Although it is most used for those who indescriminantly have sex; I feel it can be a liberated use of the word and embodiment. I prefer not using it in a negative context; there are more than enough words to do that. When someone's needs overpower their self control; and they beg...I find use of the term whore more fitting. By using those terms in a paradoxical way, it can create a mix of feelings in the recipient. Despite the negative societal connotations that create an intitial wave of shame; it then opens an opportunity to freely be those things that may have been difficult to attain otherwise. So it's my beautiful slut; or my hungry little whore...both delicious variations of the same flavor.

first time i was called a slut i balked, thought it was insulting, it wasnt. to me its now a term of endearment, i'm His slut, not a slut.

For me, slut has nothing at all to with the ACT of sex, how MANY people you have sex with, what TYPE of sex you have with it, what CRITERIA you use with your partners. Being a slut for me is a personal attitude towards sex and sexuality. It is an attitude that hungers for sexual interactions, is unashamed of those hungers and actively seeks to satiate those hungers.

A woman who only has one partner she only ever kisses her whole life can be just as much a slut as I am.

This also helped me in that I realize so many people (women especially) find it hard to be “a slut.” They can embrace being “someone’s slut” or being a loved slut, but find it difficult to be bald-facedly an open slut. So by keeping things to a personal attitude level, it doesn’t matter HOW the person acts as a slut…simply that they embrace their slut attitude.

In short:
slut- someone who has an active interest in sex, sexuality and celebrates it openly (does not imply any ACTUAL sex, or any AMOUNT of sex)

whore- someone who receives money in exchange for sexual services

bitch- female who has aggravating, negative and superior attitude

in my world, what you are describing is a "tramp"...a slut is someone who fully embraces her sexuality & loves being a sexual entity...it has nothing to do with how many or who she has sex with at all...it's one of the words that i have taken back from those who would use it to hurt, along with "fat" as a description of my body--as in Camryn Mannheim's acceptance speech, "this is for all the fat girls!!" when i own the words, they can't be used in a negative way about me........

i am not a dominant, and really can not define the word "slut", but i can say hearing "come here my sweet slut" from the right one can almost make my body turn to liquid.

maybe that is a definition of some sort anyhow.

i so agree-i have friends who act offended that i describe my self as a fat chick....i tell them it is an adjective, like tall, short, thin. and it sure beats that bbw moniker(sorry but that one chaps my hide a bit).

Not a dominant, but I use it as a term of endearment to many of my friends.

My Dominant uses it as a term of endearment as well. And I think he just started calling me that because in his words 'I want it more than he does half the time'

I was called a slut once. Made me smile, among other things,when I know it should not have.
I think I would like to be a slut, when I grow up.

I am not a male dominant... but I have quite a few male dominants call me a slut until it got to the point where I asked my Daddy if I was a slut or not.... he said.... "kittin you are by far the farthest thing from a slut"... but then his definition of slut is a promiscuous person... or in Daddy terms... a person who goes to the local bar.... spends a minimum of an hour meeting, and talking to a person.... before going home and having sex with them... and then repeats the behavior on a regular basis....

Now hearing this other definition of slut... something along the lines of a sexually confident woman I had to ask Daddy this.... Daddy how would you define me sexually... his reply..."kittin you are an intense sexual being"...

So for my Daddy a.... slut is a slut.... and a intense sexual human being.... is a intense sexual human being.

hmm....reading these definitions has been very interesting. i define slut by the common dictionary definition, meaning a promiscuous, "loose" woman, who is indiscriminate regarding her partners. it has nothing to do with embracing one's sexuality, or even enjoying sex or being an especially sensual person. it's simply about being a readily available tool for the pleasure of men. when my Master refers to me as slut, he means it in that sense. in the later high school and college years i had a reputation for being the school slut, as my submissive nature made me very easy...i never said no, and would do whatever was asked or demanded of me, things more proper girls just didn't do. my Master knows about my past and my sluttiness appealed to him, although for me it was always a source of shame and depression. it was my Master who gradually taught me to be proud of my slut nature, and to be able to smile when he (or anyone else) calls me that.

however i've noticed that when most in the lifestyle use the word slut, they don't mean it in such a literal sense.

Basically the same sense for me, with one difference: I wouldn't say that all sluts are unashamed. Plenty of sluts are ashamed. There's a kind of empowerment movement going on, you know, I am slut hear me roar, but there are plenty of women who are conflicted about their sexuality, or at least partially ashamed of it, and they're still sluts.

I'd say something like "a slut is someone who will go out of her way for sex, even with a stranger."

I agree with you both, but I have to agree, many sluts are ashamed.
It appears female sluts tend to have more issues with this term, than male sluts.
Most men, think being called a slut is sort of cute.

A college friend of mine used to call me "slut" whenever we'd take a break from a grueling study session, signalling that we were acting purely for pleasure - whether it involved sex or food or a spontaneous dance party. I always liked that definition. When spoken by a partner, the word distills me into a purely sexual being, which makes me intensely aware of my body and it's energy; it gives me a certain freedom that no other word quite triggers.

But i'm well aware of the accepted definition of the word, so needless to say, context is key.
