Okay, so that one got me snort laughing. I guess there is a reason those guys like to wear their jeans so tight. Trying to show off their package. Problem is, with most of them, their belt buckles are bigger. [:D]

I have been trying to pay attention to this thread, ( horses, real horses are not really my thing, though they are cool) because it is unusual, but keep getting distracted by the image of a man wearing assless leather chaps, and facing a wall while a very sexy woman in cowgirl gear whips him.  *snickers*

LOL! Could there be a better way to put it?

To the OP, maybe you've already got some of the more practical advice already, as in looking for ways to assist the Dommes in what they are there for, rather than just hanging around. They might take more interest, if they see some use in you.

Well now that there is the problem! See, it's all about arranging a photograph. If you want to bring attention to a feature, you make sure that other features don't overshadow it. If you want something to look big, gosh, you shouldn't put something bigger next to it! If cowboys took photography classes, we wouldn't have this problem.

I married a horse woman, so if that doesn't qualify me to speak on this subject, then I do not know.

Just because a woman loves horses does not necessarily mean that she is dominant.  For instance, my ex-wife was very good at controlling members of the equine community, but it did not translate into human interaction.

I can provide at least one example of this:  My ex-wife knew as much as I did about the D/s scene at that point in time, and I really wanted her to take charge.  But the irony of this story is that, on my birthday, her gift to me was one of submission.  Go figure!

You know, I was going to avoid this thread and not bring this up, but I've seen the thread too many times that I finally have to share this all with you.

I was enraptured by a young woman when I was going through junior high and high school. It went beyond a first crush. I took every opportunity to be around her, and due to my shy nature, and today I also add "stupidity", I never told her my feelings. Well, years later, I was looking at a horse breeding site (don't ask why; it doesn't have any fun reasons), and there she was. Today, she is a nationally ranked horse trainer. Having seen this thread, I've so often wanted to contact her, and the fact that she trains horses is by no stretch of the imagination NOT a thought. But I know that her training horses doesn't make her a dominant. But you know what? I can now fantasize that she IS one because of her being a horse trainer. I have a strong feeling that this is one of those BEST left as a fantasy because if I met her again in reality, it would probably completely blow the fantasy that has emerged after all of these years.

I first have to say that I was always attracted to women who ride and handle horses.  Much of my fantasies revolve around that horse woman wearing English riding attire and carrying a whip.

Several years ago, there was a woman from the UK who liked dress up in the traditional riding breaches and boots in order to whip men.  Although I am somewhat of a masochist, I had my reservations about how much of that I could take without begging for mercy.  If I cannot withstand a serious beating from a Mistress, then I feel like a failure, so I did not persue this woman

When I was married to a horse woman, I had many fantasies about being treated like an equine, but at that time there was no information about pony play, so I had nothing to go on.  What a pity.  I was born previous to any BDSM and D/s, and discussing my fantasies with the uninformed was tantamount to being perverted, which would ultimately lead to social exclusion among my peer group.

My advice to you, littlesarbonne, is to go for it and confront this woman.  Since you have a social history with her, it shouldn't be a problem to reconnect.  Just go slowly with her, and find an opportune time to talk to her about it.

Ok I'm going to weigh in here...

I'm  an internationally certified horse trainer. I’m also a dominant…which I guess makes me even more rare than hens teeth…who knew?

First DO NOT go to the tack shop and leer at the crops and annoy people. You will not have been the first person to do this and it will only embarrass yourself and the poor shop girl. I can’t tell you how many kinky men used to come in my store when I was young and vanilla and made fools of themselves with crops and leers.

Second if you want to get to know the riding women. Go to a local barn and become a working student. In exchange for lessons, you help out around the barn. Clean stalls, clean tack horses etc. But just because you are there does NOT mean you will find a kinky Domme.  And Many women will be offended because you want them to dress in their riding clothing and beat you. They do not associate the riding attire and kink.  You will have a better chance of finding a Domme in your local scene and asking her to wear riding clothing. I do know of another riding Domme in our area and much to our subs chagrin when we get together we talk horses not subs.

Third…very little difference between training horses and training men. It’s a matter of convincing them it’s their idea.  And being strict and making sure you communicate the rules…
