Status: offline 		While reading another thread (Toys R us in Ask a Mistress), I started thinking about  what toys are okay to share.  Master Darkmoon stated that He makes a new set of "usual toys" for each girl He is with.  I know Doms who have their own set, including sex toys. 

So what is Y/your opinion?  Is it okay to use toys on multiple partners, specifically sex toys?

Status: offline 		It would all depend on if they have an emotional attachment to another with that tool. I'm not talking about good memories. I mean as they are paddling my ass are they only thinking of the other person.

Status: offline 		I have no problems using toys other than needles on multiple people- including sex toys.  If the other person is squeamish, then we use their toys or whatever they feel ok with.

But it is good practice to have your own sex toys and at least a few toys you enjoy for yourself.

Status: offline 		If the toy is in good shape, and CLEAN I don't have an issue. I have some of my own toys I bring [plugs, vibes, clothes pins, clit jewlery, etc] that I KNOW are santatized, so I take those with me when I play if requested. Consideirng how expensive some toys are, I don't expect new ones to be used on me, just ones in good shape and clean.

Status: offline 		I think insertiable toys should not be shared. Just my opinion. I have my own vibrator, buttplug, gag etc. and those will not be used by anyone else than me. If it's done, I'll throw them away. I also get icky about toys used on genitalia of other people so I'd like a set of my own.

I've managed to put together quite a collection of my own and if I ever play with someone other than my partner I'd like to use my personal stash rather then the other ones. Negotiations to use other peoples toys can be made and then each case is evaluated on it's own.

Status: offline 		I have no problem sharing toys either because I know how to ensure safety.  If insertables should not be shared no one should ever put a body part in more than one person...ever.  I use condoms on insertables.  And what can't hold a condom I sanitize very well.  If it can't be cleaned...then I don't want it.  If a cock is ok to use person to person or fingers person to person with either a good cleaning or a condom/glove, why not toys?

If someone doesn't share my view then he can purchase his own stuff or find a different partner.

Status: offline 		earthy - I don't agree with part of your reasoning.  A living thing like a finger exfoliates over time, shedding foreign dna and so on.  A dead thing like a vibrator does not.  Microfissures along the surface can pick up god knows what and hold onto them for a long, long time.

Status: offline 		insertables are a personal preference, but as long as condoms are used or a good medical sterilizer is used, no problem, however I do see the reasoning behind each having their own, besides the sanatary aspect there is the hassle of having something inserted in one and deciding that it would be better in another.....have to stop and clean it before using it, big hassle, much easier to have each have their own.  Besides insertables are somewhat of a personal nature and best to stay with one person for use.

I prefer my own insertablesto be just mine & tolerate Doms using theirs if I can wash them and don them with a condom.
A dildo that's been in another sub going into me without a condom even if thoroughly cleaned would be offensive as I'd worry about germs.

Status: offline 		I dont tend to use insertabes on my pets, they are way too squimish for it. For Kittens experiments, I do put condoms on the toys if he is brave enough to allow me to try.  Anyone I play with comes to me with the understanding that I have my own toys. If they are not comfortable using toys tat have been cleaned but were used on others before them, they are welcome to bring their own. Mine are kept clean enough to use on myself if i feel the need and dont have a playmate around, so they are most certainly clean enough to be used on others.
The only things I do not use on multiple partners is rope.  I cant gaurantee it is cleaned, and it frays horribly in the wash, so each boy has his own rope that he will be tied with that actually contacts his skin. The anchors that dont touch them are shared, but the actual bindings on them are different for each. That wasy a gentle cleaning keeps them neat but i dont have to worry about more aggressive sterilization.

as long as i know about it...whether its because i know its going to happen as part of the set up of a relationship or because he tells me he's going to do it...its perfectly fine...just because you are not poly oriented doesn't make the rest of the world so....

i try not to let other people's insertables or leather or any other porus material toy be used on my bare skin...while i may have done so in the past, hep c and hiv scares can well, scare you right out of that....thank G-d they were just scares

Blah.  No option for "No sex toys".

I don't tend to use any, outside of some basic bondage stuff (rope, handcuffs, etc.).  No whips, flogs, needles, knives, vibrators, dildos, strap-ons, clothes pins, corsets, etc.  Not even female gels (my poor slave's sensitive enough as is) nor Viagra (I'm 20- a couple decades at least before errections become an issue).

Actually, on female gels, I've never met anyone (in bed) who would want them (not that there's anything wrong with a female who perfers a stronger sensation!)  I still remember loving to tease one sub who would literally jump out of the car if I touched her clit in one spot- not in any particular, special way, nor even if she had orgasmed recently or not, just.. she was that sensitive.  Oh, did I have fun teasing her!  :D  I'm not much of a sadist, but, you have to admit, that can be pretty amusing!  Ah wells- side rant on vaginal female gels.

Status: offline 		Since I make most of my toys, I'd have to say that some are shared, some are not. If I make a toy for a certain person, I use it only on them. Other things I make are for general use. I tend to be a bit of a fanatic about gags, though. Never share a leather gag, and clean other gags religiously. I carry a small spray bottle of mouthwash to freshen a gag before use.

Status: offline 		i don't mind sharing my sex toys (pocket rockets and sybian) because i clean them, so i know what was done to them (sybian attachments are dishwasher safe!).  As for whips/flogs, those are a little more personal, as i bought them for Toad to use on me.  One flog was specially made with our favorite colors woven together.

Status: offline 		Not really an issue here, but the idea of using insertables, CBT toys, or gags that someone else had used strikes me as icky, regardless of cleaning or other measures. Strictly an emotional response... what can i say.

Status: offline 		I get the ickiness, but I'm not going to go out and buy a new hitachi wand or attachment for every person I want to enjoy that sort of play with (and I imagine the same is true for sybian or TENS sexual attachment owners asit certainly would be for me if/when I owned them).  So, they can either enjoy them through my cleaning methods, with a condom, or not use those toys and do other things.
