Pardon my intrusion; I must say, I agree with you; and it goes as well as for the men. Devote 19 years to a relationship, only to discover, all the while you thought you were building, working for a family, you were NOTHING. Nothing but a fool for believing so, an idiot.

The job thing...oh yes, you are so right thre; however, it's not just the way life is...it is the exploitation that openly prevails. Maybe, that is what life always has been, exploitation of another.

I could never do what has been done to me, yet, I think, why not, it seems to be the universal method of operation. But then.....

Let me guess, where you very focused and driven in the pursuit of sucess that you forgot a woman needs  affection and attention on a regular basis and she found it elsewere?

Lately I've been wondering more and more about this. Being a younger Dom, I've often faced the frustrating words "sorry, you're not old enough". Why do so many women not even bother to consider a person due to their age? Is it because age is automatically associated with maturity? If so, isnt this jumping the gun because many people are middle aged, etc and still act worse than some little kids. Just thought I'd get some feedback on this to help me to understand this a bit better.

Honestly, I always sought someone nearer my own age. I wanted someone under 30. So I suppose this is opposite to what you have seen. My reasoning was personal and simple. I want to spend the rest of my life with my love. While no one knows the future I have more of a chance to spend many more years with someone within 10 years of my age than someone 30, 40, or more years older than myself.

for me, personally:

regardless of whether or not i'm focusing on a relationship or just looking for a little hot action; if i just want to be fucked by some kinky perve, beat by an experienced sadist, or fucked and beat at the same time, i'd still need to have someone a little bit older than my own kid to enjoy it!

Using fast reply to comment on a couple things I have read thru the thread since I last visited it.

To assume that someone's mother only wants the best for them is wrong. Not all mothers are such angels, mine would be a prime example. On the other hand to assume that all mothers that love their children feel the need to stick their noses in their adult children's business and tell them how to live their life is also a wrong assumption. I learned quite a few years ago to keep my god damned mouth shut unless my opinion was asked for. It is a very wise thing to do.

Also, to assume that you would not have anything in common with a person simply because of their age means one of several things, you either think all people not in your age group are idiots and not worthy of your time, or you are extremely narrow minded in your own life participation.

Example: I enjoy alot of movies from the 30's and 40's. I was not yet born but it does not mean that I am ignorant of them, the actors in them, or the music that was their sound track.

Another interesting idea just came to me......... I really enjoy being with my adult children and we relate very well. If this is the case why would it be difficult for me to relate well to anyone else in their mid to high twenties?

Agressive,
Yep, and you will be hearing that until the day comes when they start saying, "You are too old." So just sit back and wait for that glorious 5 minutes when you are just right.

LMAO, I never really thought about it that way. Scary, but yet another insightful view on this topic.

Honestly, I really do think this whole search thing is kind of like the fable "Goldilocks." You're going to meet people who are too _________, not _________enough and somewhere along the line, when you least suspect it, all of the __________ notwithstanding, you're going to find someone who's "juuuuust right."

But isn't weeding out the people who don't work for you what dating's all about in the first place - regardless of what anyone might put in the ________?

Mostly, what's necessary isn't to be older, to be younger, or anything like that. What's necessary is the patience it takes to find someone who's juuuuuust right for you - and it'll happen.
