I think perhaps you're right to the degree of everyone's psychology leads them to become who they are. However I don't think a true submissive is yearning and aching for just someone to come and take care of whatever problems she has. A true Master understands and loves his sub for who she is, the sub loves, adores, and obeys her Master because it is what her heart wants to do. It's still about the connection between two souls, if not it's just fun and games. I think most of those definitions come from a D/s match that wasn't meant to be. As for seeing a psychiatrist to work out any of these problems, most of what was stated seemed to be an easy fix through mere life fulfillment, perhaps more Masters should be teaching some of their subs to meditate.
