www.castlerealm.com has some wonderful food for thought on the subject..the kingDom and subspace are two categories that helped me when i was first starting out learning things. There is also a listing of books and sites to check out.

I'm only being half facetious, but would there be any value in a separate forum for newbies, for example dom and dommes (together). It's certainly valuable getting advice from the more experienced; I've benefited from it several times. But it could also be very useful to share experiences with those beginners at a similar experience level. What do people think?

k.

To start out?

1)  Get all the fantasy themed BDSM books you can.  Remember, they are a set of rules to be followed without deviation especially by your sub.  Keep track of which rules are in which book, and use the book where she broke rules and spank her with it.

2)  Remember that everyone else is automatically wrong if they don't agree with you.  It's your world now, your sub just lives in it.  You're god's gift, god's GIFT to her.  No, scratch that.  You're GOD and SHE should give you gifts, yes, that's better.  An angry god who requires tribute.

3)  If she says no, that just means you didn't hit her hard enough with your book.  Oh yes, you should write a book of rules inspired by the ones you read before it perhaps a sequel.  That's how all BDSM erotica comes about.  It's non fiction after all, they are just required to say fiction for liability purposes.  So anyway, whenever she shirks her responsibility to obey you as god, hit her with your book.

4)  Wear her underwear outside of your pants at least once, and in a highly public place.  It will bring you closer, because that's how she always feels.  Subs are naturally ashamed of being women after all.  Feel ashamed right along with her, then, you'll really know why you have to write that book and hit her with it.

5)  Vote Republican!

Do these things, and join the ranks of we highly revered Doms among sub women.  After all, we're god and they suck.

And, if you believe this advice?  You're sure to have alot of fun before someone shoots you.  Be sure to tell us how it goes!

I think I have had a similar problem, as far as finding people in my area is concerned.  I live in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and the only links that I generally can find are for Fayetteville, North Carolina.  I thought I had found one but it was a "dead" link.  It can be frustrating to try to find real life people to talk to about issues relating to being a dom and having a sub, but on the plus side, if you have the time and the money, you can continue to find books (Greenery Press seems to be devoted entirely to the subject) that will hopefully help.

Definitely get involved with local groups, local munches.  Some larger cities near me (NYC, Philadelphia) have 'Next Generation' munch and discussion groups, limited to those between 21 and 35, a group like that would be perfect for you.

Watch your grammer, your spelling, things like that.  I will not correspond with a Dom who shows a faulty command of the English language.  Unless it's not your native language, learn to use it, properly and intelligently.  I feel if a Dom cannot control his own writing, he'll never be able to control me.
