I have run across a few posers here. In fact one who claimed to be Japanese and living in Japan, yet could never answer letters written in Japanese.

I was thinking it might be nice if we had a place where people could post their suspicions.

I realize the net is filled with posers and they are just rying to fill some need they have. However, many of us are here to seek actual relationships.

So what do you think of the idea and care to share any profiles you feel are questionable?

Whilst the idea has good basis - it risks being abused just as much as the people who are abusing the site as 'posers'. People may have a grudge, or work through their anger or 'let down' of someone by trying to discredit them. It would just end up a section of name calling and overblown egos, IMO. For myself, I prefere to make my own choice on a person.

In the end, I know that for people like yourself, who are actively searching, trawling through the rubbish to find a thing of beauty can be annoying when inundated by posers, liers and cheats. However, ultimately, we are all responsible for ourselves and no matter how much someone may shout and proclaim that someone is a liar, people rarely listen.

While I've had my share of e-mails, demanding or requestiong various things.... I just laugh, or write back asking them if they understand what kind of site they are on... May I please assist them in their education by answering a question .... or any number of things. When they discover I am not here to feed their fantasies, they stop. If they get nasty, or insulting, I just either delete them.... or most of the time, I let them know that this is useless...as since they mean nothing to me... they can't hurt my feelings, or impact me in a negative... but thank you for the smile I've enjoyed in having read thier attempts.

I'm sure this is nothing like trying to seek out your mate, significant other...or whatever... as you have to put your heart out there on some level. But I view these boards, and sites as a way to make friends. Real time is where you make contact and further, or really...begin any kind of romantic involvement. In this way, I think it would be easier to seperate posers from the real, honest people on here. The posers won't go through all that much effort. They just want ot get off. Ifit's real... it's worth working for, learning about, and acheiving over time...

Whew.... and Master thought I hadn't learned anything in all these years and talks....grins...

Sorry to have stepped up on tha soap box. Really, I suppose it's because it does get hard reading about all these people honestly just wanting to find there other half.... and getting taken advantage of. It's not fun to hear about, and definately not fun to live through. Dragon, I'm not trying to lecture you.... I hope you don't take it that way.... but your post gave way to allowing me to express thoughts, that may help others who read this.
