Mind you, I'm not presently looking, but I'd say someone who compliments me. Someone who enjoys recieving what I enjoy giving, and can match me in an intellectual discourse without trying to compete with me. Or maybe I'm being too sensible, and would really just want someone with big tits.

Being special or unique isn't important to me in its own right--being attractive to and compatible with me is what's important. People who are very, very compatible with/attractive to me tend to be unusual in that they possess a particular combination of characteristics. However, I'm not really looking for a single person to meet multiple sets of desires--it's nice when that happens, but it's hardly required. Thus, while it would be special, uncommon, and wonderful if a person turned out to be a fantastic playmate, and conversational partner, and event escort, and servant, all in one body, I have enjoyed (and continue to enjoy) spending time with some great, and not exactly unique people who make fantastic playmates, *or* conversational partners, *or* servants. The fact that they're not particularly exceptional in the way they approach relationships with me makes them no less enjoyable.

I look for someone with compatible interests whose company I enjoy.  Sounds simplistic, but sometimes there's something there, and sometimes there isn't.

I echo what Kyra and Merc have said. All I can add is that she have a sense of reality. The desire to get to know me as a person and understand my need to know her as such also. Rather than the online habit of making it all about one facet of life.

I think being open and honest about who you are and what you are looking for. I think having some of the same interest with the other person. Any relationship takes work for it to last. Better to love and lost, then not to love at all.
