Interesting link, kitten.

Thanks, Lev. Don't you think it's interesting that the US media hasn't widely published the BBC story though?

Could there be some element of passive propaganda going on?

There "could" be, but I don't know that there is [:D].

America is vast, and so is the media here, there are positive reports on Muslims, sometimes, as well as hatchet jobs.

How generous of you :-)

It seems to me that there actually is a very detrimental, anti-Muslim propaganda going on in the States, and that that propaganda is generalised (suffices to read the number of posts on this board alone, alas).

Anyway, hopefully this link will help some people realise that not all religious people are terrorists :-)

Oh yeah? Ever been to a Revival meeting?

seeksfemslave -> RE: No, Islam isn't a nation. (6/24/2007 11:18:38 AM)

The BBC link shows them doing what they say they never do, putting out political or at least loaded propaganda.
Why do you think that the BBC should "report" on three US military types who are Muslim. ? Only arskin'

They have just admitted that when they go to certain areas in the UK and ask whether people there are happy with the number of immigrants they only broadcast the responses of those who say yes or at least "dont mind"
Admitted that they did lol

If you gave examples of this propaganda, would it all come from backwoods dipsticks? Or the mainstream media? Both?

I'm getting the idea for a poll........[sm=idea.gif]

      Are you kidding?  Sneeze wrong and you have the Religion of Perpetual Outrage all over you.  The US media kisses their ass.  Hell, even the ACLU thinks it's fine for the gov't to finance their religious needs.

      Did you see that great editorial cartoon about Mohammed, Jesus, and Buddha?  Oh, that's right....  Did you hear about the sequel to that Dutch directors documentary?   Wait... nevermind...

I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me why "diversity" is such a "good" thing!
Just the opposite has served mankind in good stead for millenia.

defiantbadgirl -> RE: No, Islam isn't a nation. (6/24/2007 12:34:29 PM)

The Koran tells followers of Islam to destroy those who practice other religions. Of course not all Islams are terrorists. Only the ones who follow the Koran (their version of the bible). But how can they be Islamic at all if they aren't following the Koran? The same way Christians refuse to read or follow the commandments of the Holy Bible?

I encourage everyone to actually read Luke 19: 11-27, to see how Farg  twists things.  then think about the way he quotes other things.   The parable is not God comanding anyone to be killed.  It is the story of a cruel king, who did that.

Level -> RE: No, Islam isn't a nation. (6/24/2007 1:32:35 PM)

Yes, lucky, that's true, but it seems that the parable is one teaching that Christians are to put themselves, and their talents/gifts to work for God, and if failing to do so, then they'll be accountable one day.

OrionTheWolf -> RE: No, Islam isn't a nation. (6/24/2007 1:35:50 PM)

The problem is not with Islam, but with Islamic Facist. Just like there is no problem with Christians, just Christian Facist. In many Islamic countries there are problems between the extremist and the moderates. If the problems stayed in theor countries, no problem. it is when it spills over into their neighbors yard there is a problem.

"East is East and West is West."
Maybe that's why there's oceans seperating us.
I like seperation.

defiantbadgirl -> RE: No, Islam isn't a nation. (6/24/2007 2:06:55 PM)

Exactly. The need to stay in their own country. Instead, they come over here, take jobs away from hard working Americans, and spew hate at us in our own country.

seeksfemslave -> RE: No, Islam isn't a nation. (6/24/2007 2:47:40 PM)

I have just been reading a book, yes I can read, entitled <What is Islam> It gives an appendix showing the history of the "religion of peace." Would you believe they have been fighting and killing one another since the 13th century.

I dont think even the most dedicated anti Busher can say George had anything to do with that.
