I was told a story by my Dad when I was young that Don Juan would be able to connect with women, and said he could in 5 minutes of conversation have any woman want to be with him, even over men that were much more attractive, stronger, richer, etc.....

I'm sure he was a master of non-verbal communication, but what actually did he say to these women to have this response?  anyone have a guess?

You can find the play (written by a priest, no less) and read it for yourself. It's a morality play, of course. Don Juan gets his, in the end, but there's no sympathy for the women "victims," either. He's able to bed them by taking advantage of their individual weak spots. Even the priest knew there's no "one size fits all" as to women. [:D]

There were a lot of stories and plays written about the Don Juan legend.  They all vary, but the original legend portrayed him as a rapist and a murderer.  In some of the stories he disguised himself as the husband of women he wanted to sleep with.  In other depictions, the character is looked at more sympathetically.  I don't think I have ever read one that could provide you with pointers on picking up chicks though.

He said something sexy in Spanish.  My advice is to learn Spanish with a good accent.

"Pendejo" means something like "dumass" in Spanish.

I'm with Lam on this one.  The guy's a fake.  There's something creepy and plastic about him.  So I guess he's every woman's wet dream, minus one.

i can not say this strongly enough. i LOATH Antonio Banderas. I think he is the worst actor i have ever seen and i think he is ugly and stupid. This is just my humble opinion.

Actually, his accent is pretty authentic.

I wouldn't call him the worst actor I've ever seen, but he's fucking annoying, I'll go along with that.

He was decent in Philadelphia and Mambo Kings.  Lately he's just been a ham.

Don Jaun was the first to use the date rape drug....Truly ahead of his time.

This has been an educational experience....Up to this point of time I always thought the word was "bendejo."

Anyways have to admit for some reason I enjoyed "Desperado"....Then again, it might be that I was mesmerized by Selma Hayek's beautiful form.  Either way, enjoyed the flick.
