I had bruises on my shoulder from being held down against the wrong part of a wooden floor. A friend saw it and asked what happened, I replied, "Slipped on the ice and landed on a shovel." >_> I don't know if the believed it or not...

I think it would depned if it was winter or not

I had a dog at one time that was very RAM-bunctious in play
He head-butted me in the face and took out a tooth. I didn't get
mad at him. He saved me a trip to the dentist.

Actually I'm clumsy enough that I can use that as an excuse- in fact many marks SCENE people have asked about were just due to bumping into things and not actual kinky stuff.

And there's always the "We like rough sex" line.

lol...recently I had a bruise on my arm - genuinely acquired when I was moving all my stuff out of my room at school and I sideswiped the bar on the outside door. My Dad made some comment as to "Tell your boyfriend to quit beating you." I thought I'd quip back (because between my father and I, one never just lets these things go - it's a bad case of oneupmanship, but we have a great time doing it) "If you think this one's bad, you should see the bruises on my ass!" (there were no bruises on my ass - at that point). My dad just nodded and said "well, knowing you, you probably deserved them. Tell R I said 'good job'..."

He got me on that one. I couldn't do a damn thing other than laugh. On my dad's part, he was gleeful. He finally shut me up.

I rely on the truth in situations such as this. Anyone nosey enough to ask a personal question such as that; is going to hear the truth. They can then either believe it or not; either way, I don't have to cover up any lies.

I happen to bruise very easily...so people are used to seeing bruises all over my arms and legs from me just bumping into a wall or door (which I do rather often it seems). With most of my friends, they know what marks are if they see them, and just say "looks like someone got lucky last night"...kinda sucks cause I dont get to shock people any more.

Once time when I was younger, my mom noticed the ladder pattern of can marks down the backs of my thighs and asked me what happened, I told her I fell on a pallet at work. Im not sure if it worked or not.

LOL .... "You really don't want to know" would really have their imaginations going.  I wonder if my family could come up with anything kinkier than the truth?

My family stopped asking when I had a neice (who was new into the family) ask me about a mark.  Told her - hell half the family knows I'm kniky, sometimes I like to remind them of it.  Welcome to the family.

Funny - not even the new members to our clan ask any longer.  (maybe it is the traditional bridal shower gift of handcuffs and a 6 pack of pepsi that does it).

Tell the truth, most people won't believe you anyway.

Plus cupping is a form of massage therapy as well.

greetings LadyPaige :)

i had a cutting done high on my right shoulder/back, an oblong box with various designs in it.  it had been maybe 4ish months later, but the scar was still noticable.  i cannot for the life of me remember what i had on at work, but the receptionist was standing behind me, she saw it and asked me what it was.  now, the folks at that job knew i was a bit wild, but really have no idea of any details.  i just looked her straight in the eye and said, "X, do you really want to know?" and gave her the smallest of grinz.  she said, "ummmm, no," and smiled back.

I don't like to leave marks, just for this reason....maybe why I use pillows, hot wax, etc...

there are all sorts of things you can do that doesn't leave marks, also I try not to promote masochism too much......call me sick......

if you had to make up something and the truth isn't what you want, you can always say the obvious....like if you have a rope burn, and they say what is that, you say rope burn, but don't elaborate.....

if they push it, like the suction bruise, mention its a sunction bruise, and then if they want elaboration just say you cannot remember or that you rather not think about it, that way it hurts less......

another option is to go into an elaborate story, that goes on for quite awhile, like well, I woke up yesterday and go thru your mundane wake up routine, etc....by the time you get to whatever you want to say caused it, you have had plenty of time to make up a believable reason, and by this time t he person asking will be really bored and want to move on to something "more interesting" if they still want to talk at all..........

an example of this is you have a huge bruise on your arm, and you happen to be wearing a sleeveless shirt/dress, you get asked how the bruise happened, you can go into how you woke up thinking everything was normal and it would be a mundane day, how you drank coffee, took a shower, and how you noticed your left toe had a longer toenail than your right one, and how you had to get that other one clipped down..but since you had somewhere to go you put that off for right now....and how you had to stop to get gas, and you were getting sick of gas prices, etc.....

Then you can tripped while closing the door of your car on the curb, but how all the other stuff was relavant because you wouldn't of been able to remember how it happened unless you walked thru it all...you were happy it wasn't more serious, etc......

you could always throw in a rubber chicken into the equation, anything with strange fetishes makes it much more kinky.....

i was at a non-lifestyle little get together where UMs were present and this one boy asked me about my cutting...i told him it was body decoration, like a tattoo or piercing....then he asked me why i had a naked lady on my back...i told him it was because i think they are pretty...then he asked me if i was a lesbian...i was like no (wasn't going to introduce him to bisexual)...so he informed me that it would be ok if i was because "hating gay people is just another form of racism"...lol...it was too cute, but he had the right idea...
as for my cutting and branding, people know i am into body mods...it doesn't suprise them anymore when i  come up with something new....wait...i did get to see that horrified visable cringe, turn away "OMG" last friday....when i showed them my freshly pierced wrists...woohoo i still have the power...

The only people I wouldn't tell the truth to would be my parents. I don't need them wondering who I'm with everytime I walk out the door, or if I'm being safe in my deviant behavior. Most of my friends know, and I have no problem explaining bite marks or bruises.

In fact, late for work one afternoon, my manager asked why I was strolling in a half hour late. I told her "I had trouble getting the handcuffs off". I still had marks around my wrists from rope the night before. She glanced down and walked away without a word. I didn't even get written up.

I'm a bit of a klutz at times, so I can blame most play bruises and marks on that; as for other marks around my wrists, in the winter I wear long sleeves so my wrists are not exposed, if they are, I wear scrunchies on them, I have long hair so it makes sence that I keep hair bands on me. Bruises on my legs are EASY to explain away, I can get a bruise from just touching things, so I take more vits now, so I don't burise as easy.

I have marked past lovers on their backs and shoulders {I have long nails an I have tendancy to dig my nails in during orgasms}, they just tell their buddies 'she enjoyed herself' or that they are 'marks of honour.'

I went to the doctor the day after I had a play date, my inner thighs were still red and had marks, my nurse knows what I am involved in, she did what she needed to do, then brought me back some ointment and told me it would help to get rid of the marks, and to use ice. She smiled and said 'looks like you had a good time.' Whatever works.

Last night, ________ bound me with duct tape and plumbing fixtures, then beat the crap outta me with tow straps and a paint stirrer from Home Depot.

I don't think the guy looking at paint samples on aisle 7 will ever be the same again.
