i tell the truth to clients, complete strangers, or youths,  and they all respond the same way by saying:  "yeah right"!

i tell the truth to those who know me well and their response is usually them saying:  "good for you" or "i'm so jealous"!

telling the truth tends to be a win-win situation for me!

Usually "practicing for your next grandchild" works wonders.  Substitute niece, nephew, etc.  I'm a bit of a smartass, so no one can figure out if I'm serious or not.

I have to give credit to his mother for not asking about the eye bolts in the wall when she cleaned my house while I was sick.

My last thread on Closet BSDM Precautions brought this one to mind.

Have you ever been caught off guard when someone saw a mark and had to come up with an explanation?

Here's my story.  I'd been to a spring retreat for the weekend with my local group.  My mom came to visit and I forgot I had a big round bruise on my back from cupping.  I wore a sundress and my mom asked about it.  My explanation?..... I told her that I'd been in a pool with a home made filtering system and got sucked into the intake pipe.

Please share any wacky explanations you've come up with.

Paige

I've been sucked into the intake pipe myself.

It's entirely understandable.

I once had a situation wherein which I spent a good portion of Saturday and Sunday sucked into the intake pipe...bruises everywhere.  Had to call the emergency folks, red sirens...the whole bit...rather embarrassing.

(Explaining it to my then wife, considering I was supposed to be at her Mom's the entire weekend...now that was the hard part).

(And of course that pesky $786.00 bill).

How much did that come down to per bruise?  Was it worth it?

I have to say Master has always been respectfull not to leave bad marks where I wouldnt be able to hide them, and I have done my part in makeing sure to wear clothing that hide any marks Master may have given me. So as of yet it hasnt been a problem.

We like to refer to those as being attacked by a rabid octopus

When I was in HS, I had a GF who loved to give hickeys. At one point she gave me a 1.5 inch wide hickey stripe on each side of my neck, and a strip across the front of the throat. My biology teacher asked when I'd contacted leprosy, and when my head was going to fall off.

I also blame the horses! I just don't know if anyone believes a horse is what bit the back of my neck recently, leaving a nice human-shaped dental imprint and a small hematoma. I forgot it was there and wore my hair up to work yesterday. Ooops.

LadyPaige,

This is not about excuses, but i have to share a funny story..  ... ..

i was coming down the interstate doing about 90 miles per hour, going home after  visiting for the weekend with my previous Master.

i passed a trucker who gave the sign to show him my tits.. .. ... uh,  no way.

my tits were covered in welts and bruises and were bloody red ~  no way i  was sharing that at 90 miles per hour ~  i did not want him to run off the road!

I got caught but I couldn't think of anything in time. Valyraen had bitten my arm really hard. It left bruises and teeth marks for days. As it happened, I had to go visit my parents. My Mom saw the mark and asked me what it was. I just went blank and finally, weakly, stammered out "You don't want to know..."

My excuses were usually fairly simple.  My boys just told people they were practicing karate with me, and someone slipped.  Karate was blamed for a lot of things, even the rug burns i had...

I also have the luxury of blaming my horses, and doing competitive Judo also helps… bite marks can be written off with a shrug of my head and “well some people just play dirty…chuckle”.
Most of my friends have seen the marks where I have been nipped my the new foals, or even hade a large thoroughbred pick me up by my shoulder… and platted reigns leave very nice bruises resembling rope burns…

As for my work colleagues, they know all about my kink, so if I have subbed and end up standing behind my desk the next day, they just laugh and tease… a few close friends may even walk up and spank what the know is already a well bruised ass. I gave up trying to hide it from them ages ago since my eyes give me away.. when I am building a pet up for a play they can see my the sparkle in my eye for days before the play. The only people I protect are my family.. mom would NOT cope… hence writing articles for lifestyle magazines under aliases..

I'm another of the clumsy brigade... I have so many marks from accidental bumps I can't even remember.  Sadly, the marks I want to keep often fade far too quickly.

My family stopped asking when I had a neice (who was new into the family) ask me about a mark.  Told her - hell half the family knows I'm kniky, sometimes I like to remind them of it.  Welcome to the family.

Funny - not even the new members to our clan ask any longer.  (maybe it is the traditional bridal shower gift of handcuffs and a 6 pack of pepsi that does it).

I have to ask....

I know (very well) how to use handcuffs in BDSM, but a sixpack of Pepsi....?

ionce fell backwards going down a few stone steps and my left ass cheek hit the corner of one. That cheek was totally lack and blue, the entire cheek, and a dark shade or purple/blue (hurt like hell too).  When i saw the dom i was playing with at the time i told him i couldn't play and told him the reason. He asked me to show him and i did, then he asked me why i would allow someone to beat me that severely lol.  i was flabergasred he did not believe me. i asked him, would it be logical that my right cheek was pure and untouched while my entire left cheek was purple/blue, from play???... he still wasn't convinced lol...got me rather pissed i told the truth and still was not believed.

You never saw the commercial where the woman sucks herself into a Pepsi bottle? It's for training. Heh.
