I live under the overpass. When a car drives over me, is it driving over the overpass or driving on the overpass? When I walk under the overpass, am I walking in the underpass? Inquiring minds want to know. -DarkDreams

Sorry to hijack the thread a little bit more regarding english sweets, but it is a subject close to my heart or should that be stomach? My hubby and I moved from the UK to Toronto 19 years ago with our eldest um and one in the oven. We miss so many different things....marmite, salad cream, branston pickle, clotted cream, real cornish pasties, schwepps bitter lemon, walkers cheese and onion crisps,.....sweets/candys include, minstrels, galaxy choccy(better than cadbury in my opinion) milky bar(white chocolate), refreshers, sherbert dib dabs, cadburys buttons, caramac, toffo, curly whurlys and mostly Trebor Extra Strong Mints, (they make altoids look like beginners). I went to england back in march for the first time in ten years and came back with a full case of goodies for us all. we have just run out so I will be doing some online shopping, gotta love the interweb I found this shop too http://www.shoppingfrombritain.com/ yummmmm Lucy

Okay, with all this talk about candy from the U.K., why hasn't anyone mentioned TOFFEE CRISPS? OMG! [8D] My cousin is very fond of Malteasers, but to me they're not all that different than regular malted milk balls, just more expensive. i did love the whimsical names... Munchies, Crunchies, and Crispies; The Big Green Triangle, the Big Toffee Finger, and The Big Purple One... i thought "Turkish Delight" sounded like something you'd get at a massage parlor, tho... Oh, and my question: Where the hell do our salesmen keep digging up accounts that literally can't keep $2.00 in their business checking account? Sonovabitch!

OH YEA!! I with Popeye. I'll take a Gran Maquis over a Buick any day of the week. Now there is a sports car. They come in sporty colors, two doors, sometimes a wing on the truck lid.......oh wait that's the Grand Am. The only people I see driving Gran Marquis are old people & cops and I don't see a badge. So which one are you? Lay off the Buick people.

Ah...I like sushi and sashimi but anchovy paste? No thank you. Sounds like an "acquired taste" you need to get used to while growing up. Either that or it goes well with hard alcohol in which case all previous expectations cease to matter. Bottoms up!

And of course a Mercury Grand Marquis isn't a sportscar, it's a luxury car with that "fat" ride. And no, you don't see a lot of young people driving that model of mercury either. And like I said in a previous post Buick makes a very nice car! It's just that they seem to be favored by the geriatric set for whatever reason.
