Skottulæknir does indeed translate to the equivalent of 'quack'. But I've never heard of that law. Nobody I know has heard of that law (granted, I do not know any lawyers). It might be that unlicensed doctors (such as those practicing 'alternative' medicince) need to make sure their patients know they are unlicensed, but I doubt someone with an acupuncture clinic wouldn't be raising hell if they had to put 'quack' on their shingle. quote:
