ORIGINAL: Darcyandthedark NG - you know thats not what I said and as much as I adore you I am not going to fall for you political attempts to swing my words your way. Damn you could give the conservatives a run for their money! All the thread was about was about was I am still going into London, whether they bomb or not. I'm not a politician like yourself so there is no alternative underlying agenda. The fear thang is simply in response to what Phil said and it lit a bulb above my head last night. But your the one focusing on the whole unite bit of my post. My point on that was that Mr Brown said we should be united and resolute, which to me seems like bollocks.(Hence the rather catchy title ) because no one is united - simply arguing on who's fault it really is - whereas the terrorists just unite and well, still terrorise. Me - I would rather just go into london this week and know that I am gonna have a blast (if not literaly). And if I don't, the only person I can blame for having a boring time - Is me. Peace the.dark. Hmmm, the "let's unite" approach seems to be key to your OP, and you're still making the point about people blaming each other, rather than unite. If the thread is about going to London next week, why wouldn't you, Dark? The chances of you being a victim of a bomb are upwards of 10,000 to 1. 'Don't know about you, but I don't live my life based on the off-chance something might happen. You've far more chance of getting mugged, or having to pay 4 quid for a coffee in some god forsaken coffee shop called starbucks or something surrounded by people with books entitled "little boy under the stairs" or something or other........"look at me, I read books, aren't I intelligent....in fact, I'm so intelligent, I pay 4 quid for the privilege when I could do it for free in my home or outside on a seat in the square". Personally, I'm far more concerned about this culture of style over substance than the possibility of a bomb. For my money, this is the biggest threat to the English way of life. Well, the Northern way of life. I don't see anyone converting to Islam or going to the local mosque, but I do increasingly see a nation of wine snobs and dreamers sat in coffee shops having overdosed on too many episodes of Friends. Where did it all go wrong, eh? Pigeon racing, leek showing, football, workmen's clubs, fish and chips - is your mouth watering yet, Dark?
