Dear God. All you people can think about is sex and food. I can't fathom it. Sex is for real life, as is food. If your animal appetites are aroused, go sate them. Why talk about them here? A damned waste. Anyway, this will be my Last Word. For you see, I have a life that is rich with human contact. These forums are a shoddy simulacrum. Let me thank you for your badly spelled and intellectually impoverished missives, which you lobbed at me with Hitlerian hatred and admirably elitist zest. It would be wrong to think that I'm feeding off of your hatred, although the experience, though disconcerting, has been a valuable one and has taught me many things. And I must admit to a certain enjoyment at reading your verbal defecations, an enjoyment which does not--as some have claimed--come close to the glorious luminosity of real sexual contact. In other words, I wasn't baiting you. I wasn't feeding off your attention. I get plenty of attention in my life. I did try to rattle your moorings, so to speak, and show you how your thought processes have become woolly and ineffective. Many of you seem determined to wallow in ignorance, and I suppose that shouldn't come as a shock. It is bliss, after all. And I did try to defend myself, a singularly unprofitable enterprise when The Herd has determined that they have it in for you. My point is, I reacted to this post out of a valid sense of moral outrage and emotional indignance. I detected many weaknesses and injustices in your comments, and although I did "attack" Tupac, a dead man who cannot defend himself (and yet who demonstrates a disturbing ability to release "music" after his death; and don't you question why his "music" incited violence to begin with? Can a pure thing produce such an unclean result?) I am proud to say that, for the most part, I did not attack any of you personally, as y'all did me. There were a few instances, however, when I did break the claws out, so to speak. I had no choice. On a lighter note, "sambamanslilgirl" just sent a message to my personal collarme account, a wholly inappropriate thing to do, advising me that she is a music critic and that she has blocked me, as if I care. Attached to her message was a picture of a rather sullen girl who looks rather like a linebacker for the New York Giants. Lord, look at what I'm missing. So, "sambamanslilgirl" I have a challenge for you: if you're such a music critic, define what a sixteenth note is. Explain the difference between a caesura and a fermata. Since you're so knowledgable about music, tell me the difference between a 6/8 time signature and a 3/4 time signature. Give me the enharmonic equivalent of C#. No looking it up! But I know you wouldn't cheat like that.... I wish you guys all the best, although in your treatment of me you demonstrated all the qualities you professed to despise. And now I ride out of this forum on a wave of your contempt.

The bar was crowded, she was pissed, I told her that I have had to wait before and the chances were that she simply went unnoticed. I got the drinks. On last Saturday morning I was up in Sheboygan, Wi..Doing some salmon fishing. We had reserved a room for that day because we had fished all night...I asked a friend of mine to go get the room key so we could crash out. He comes back dejected and said that the hotel had made a mistake and that the room wouldn't be ready till noon and that the person who said that it would be ready earlier had made a mistake, which rather defeated the purpose of our stay in that we wouldn't get enough sleep before we had to get back out...He mentioned that we sent the wrong guy in to get the room....Being the good friends that we are, we immediately joked that what type of quality hotel chain would begin to rent out a room to a black guy to begin with...Cuz that's what friends are for. Both of these stories are harmless...Ya know, just get over it type of stuff. The explanations given could be 100% accurate...the bar was crowded...The hotel made a mistake....No big deal. I can empathize with others, I don't try to put myself in their shoes...Aside from this thread...I listen I learn.... I can't begin to know what it feels like to be discriminated against...Both of my friends are incredibly bright and intelligent people....It is impossible for me to tell them how they should feel or react to certain situations...Both of them said relatively the same thing, Paraphrasing..."It's not that it has just happened a few times....When you begin to see a pattern it becomes somewhat disheartening.".....Who am I to argue with them? This is small shit. This isn't even the big shit that people might be confronted with. I am very happy to be white and living in America. I wouldn't want it any other way. Unless all were treated with the respect and civility that my light complexion has afforded me. There are assholes all over the place I do my best to avoid them.

Posting to this forum to begin with was a mistake. Hoping to represent my concerns in a friendly, supporting environment was a mistake. Thinking that domiguy was black...assuming that he was black...was not a mistake, or at least if it was, it wasn't an important mistake. He misrepresented himself. Shame on him.

The mistake was made by many, but I am loathe to call it racism. If you were to poll 100 white guys, 100 black guys, 100 latino guys, and 100 asian guys, between the ages of 15 and 25, and asked them if they liked Tupac, which category would you get a higher percentage saying yes to? Hell I like Tupac, Dear Momma is one of my favs. An assumption was made upon immediate data, without further research (looking at Domiguys profile), that does not automatically equal racism.
